SolidWorks Swept Boss/Base Tutorial_1st Guide Curve Method|SolidWorks Video Tutorials

This is solidworks video tutorial, which shows how to use the swept boss/base feature tool in solidworks 2012 cad software. It shows the follow path and 1st guide curve method which is an option in swept boss/base property manager. Swept boss follow path and 1st guide curve method is simple method for creating 3d models by sweeping closed profile through 1st guide curve and following the path also. Using this you can create very complex curved structures with ease in Solid works cad software. You can see the step by step tutorial video which shows how to do sweep boss feature in solid works.
Rules of Sweep Boss/Base Tool:-
There are certain rules you must follow to create models by Swept Boss/base tool and they are:-
*You should have path mentioned in the graphics interface
* The profile used for sweeping must be closed. Open sketch profiles not allowed
*The any one of the path end must coincide with closed profile. Otherwise Swept Boss/Base tool doesn’t work
Here I created a sketch using Line and fillet tool. At one of the end created a normal plane using reference plane tool. After that sketch rectangular profile (closed profile) on that plane. Also create a Guide curve for applying this 1st guide curve method. Then Go to “relations” section add relation coincide or tangent. This is done because of the rules of swept boss/base tool application in solidworks software.
Then “exit the sketch” and go to command manager. Select the “Swept Boss/base” tool and from the sweep boss property manager, select the “Follow path and 1st guide curve” and also select the path and closed profile in appropriate field. Then select the “1st guide curve” which controls the shape of your model. Sweep command working for small dia circle but not for large when the path has bend.what may be the issue
