The front bumpers of a 964 always look like a swollen lip to me. I much prefer the more slender bumpers of the earlier cars.

'87 Sonderwerks Carrera driven daily 25 plus years. Stock except for; Momo wheel, K&N filter, front tower strut bar & turbo tie rods. When I did rebuild exhaust system was in perfect shape!
Still want to build a stripped & clapped out Mulholland style canyon racer.
That front splitter was either added or the rear spoiler was removed.
To me the accordion bumpers are super iconic. Any of the millions of posters of 930 turbo's on kids walls in the 70's and 80's had them. Porsche did not sell the car with just a front spoiler so either that was added or the rear removed. Some say to only run both spoilers and other's say the front can be run alone, but never the rear alone. The option for the sport package should be under the hook on the sticker.

88 owner here with 35k miles. Mine is stock with different radio. I have the old Blau punk tho 🤷♂️

15 inch were stock rims, spacers maybe were added to widen tire towards the outside. A/C don't 😂 work even if they do work!
Nice car, you know if the front lip was original it always came with a rear spoiler aswell. So do you still have it with the car?

I know this is a old post. Anybody could buy a front lip and put it on. You could even ask the factory to put one on for you. If you ordered the factory spoilers it was front and rear as a package. Porsche did not recommend the rear without the front is what I have been led to believe.
Exactly, I had only the front lip and the car is less in aero balance.... advice is to have them both on or both off....
I prefer the 915 transmission. The cars feel lighter and faster. Best wheels for this car are 15".

these cars have dummy light to tell you when to shift. gas economy? the reason?
Woah! A bit if rehearsal would helped! Just a 911? No mention that it’s a 3.2. No mention of why a G series has the bumpers it has, etc. All stock except the radio comment is hilarious! 😮

Porsches are nice BUT…., My brother had a Super Beetle and a girl I was dating had a 911SC and I was amazed at how similar the ride felt. Later I found that there are a lot of parts that are interchangeable. Like I said, Porsches are nice, I guess I just don’t get it. Maybe, it’s the “P” factor?

that stock steering wheel is the reason why it feels like power steering... its a big wheel. A protipo wheel will make it feel more like a manual steering.
Oooooh that makes sense. I just drove a 930 turbo with a smaller Gt2 wheel and you can feel the manual steering more for sure
