These pumps are so well built , I’ve had 2 for many years. One word I would use to describe them “reliable”. I use them to pump rain water out in my yard after a big storm. Always have issues with drainage in my yard in one area and this pump has helped me plenty of times. Oh and made in the USA ❤️🇺🇸 would always recomend this brand to anyone.

Harbor Freight sells a 1 1/4" drain hose for about $12. Amazing more pumping volume than a garden house.
Also agree with others, you should be able to use the poll pump to empty the water.

Why don't you use the pool pump and set the multi-direction valve in the filter to WASTE?
Pool pump is probably more powerful than 1/6 hp

Set your pool pump to “backwash” or “waste” and save the expense of an extra pump

I bought one of these, and with testing, the actual horsepower is 1/4 to maybe 1/3 so, they lied.
