  • In this video, I will be showing you around the city of Bern, the capital city of Switzerland. The main reason as to why we stayed in for 3 nights, was because it was an ideal place to stay as it's nearer to the Jungfrau region. But of course, while we were in Berm, we were very excited to visit this Swiss city. We started our visit at the Aargauerstalden Viewpoint, a hidden spot offering breathtaking panoramic views of Bern's old town skyline and surrounded by the Aare river. It is an ideal spot to capture a perfect photo of Bern [the thumbnail].
As we walked down from Aargauerstalden, we crossed the Nydeggbrücke, a picturesque bridge crossing over the Aare River and kept walking through Gerechtigkeitsgasse and Kramgasse. These 2 streets are full of shops and restaurants and are 2 streets that divide the city. In this long street, we saw a lot of fountains, buildings with flags and medieval architecture. At the end or beginning of Kramgasse, we came next to Bern's symbol, the Zytglogge. This is a medieval clock tower, and it stands as a timeless symbol of the city's rich history.
At the heart of the old town, we cane to the Bern Cathedral at the Münsterplatz. Also know as the Berner Münster, it is a majestic Gothic masterpiece that dominates Bern's skyline. Built in the 15th Century, it;s towering conical and complicated stone carvings, showcase the skill and artistry of the craftsmen who built it. the inside of the Cathedral, it is beautifully surrounded bu stained glass windows and an enormous pipe organ at the entrance.
One street at the side of the Münsterplatz. led us to the Münsterplattform, a tranquil terrace overlooking the city, where we had a short break from the days' walking and took time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
As we kept walking, we walked past the Kirchenfeldbrücke. Another bridge with stunning views of the river and of the Bundeshaus. As we reached the Bundesplatz, we were mesmerized by the Bundeshaus architecture. The architecture of the Bundeshaus is a marvel, with majestic domes and highly decorated architecture. The Bundeshaus is the seat of the Swiss Federal Government.
The Bundesplatz is situated in the city center of Bern, and it is surrounded by shops, open market, restaurants and bars.
Just about 3 minutes walk away from the Bundesplatz, we arrived at the Bern main train station
