This is like the highlight of my week right now, and I'm not even in the market for a robot vacuum.
Aw thank you!
Same!!! I have two roombas, and I love them. But I just LOVE these videos!!!
literally this is my strange addiction
@@VacuumWars please so the dreame l10s ultra review please
I’m in the market for one actually haha perfect timing.
In past videos, it showed the stats in the spreadsheet for all of them, and it's why I always come back to this channel. I don't need a mop at all because I'm in a dry area, but need a bin for dog hair. If I had the spreadsheet, I could choose better for my actual needs
How about making a robot picker wizard from your database? That way, we can score them based on what are the most important criteria for us?
Nice work, btw!
I second that
That would eat into the youtube revenue, unfortunately. Though each vacuum could then have a link to these videos so, eh?
This would be trully great. I am looking for mid grade self empty vacuum, but I don;t even need a mop so maybe some of the in-between models would be more important to me. Didn;t get what I wanted from the video, though ...
Yeah. I was thinking the same when he said that he gave a high score for being able to clean carpet and carpet mop avoidance since I don't have any carpeted floor at home.
Please, yes, I do want avoidance on my robot, but not any mop features
Man the amount of work that goes into each video is both ground and backbreaking, Sir! Thank you for making the life of us consumers easier!
I appreciate that! Thank you so much!
@@VacuumWars This videos deserve to be longer and we are interested in the information. It actually went way too fast.
Great review! With the empty wash fill dock and dual cameras, Roborock S7MaxV Ultra is one of the coolest vacuums I have ever had. What impress me most is the functions of auto-empty, self-washing, auto-filling water tank, and auto-drying. I don't need to clean the dust bin and the mop cloth after every cleaning, which saving me an enormous amount of time and work. Love it!
It would be really cool to get that spreadsheet comparing all the vacuums!! Then I can make my own ranking since I may weight certain features differently than you did (e.g. bagless vs mop)
thats what i was looking for, the spreadsheet
@@haroldbrown3452 did you find it?
This was great. Concise, but very thorough on your metrics for testing. Cant wait for the next best of!
Prior to owning the Roborock ultra, I owned the Roomba i7+ (and prior to that a couple Neato vacs), and there is NO comparison - the Roborock is significantly better IMO, so I was glad to see the results were consistent with my experience. The vacuum and mop (and self cleaning systems) are great, but maybe the star of the show is the fact that it requires VERY little ‘babying’…it just does what it’s supposed to do, rarely gets stuck (has only gotten stuck for me on stray objects lying around my house), and requires minimal maintenance…which might I add, the app does a great job in assisting with.
Hands down, this vac blows away the competition.
1. How long have you owned that vacuum ?
2. How big of space( in square feet) is it used in ?
3. How many hours and days in a week does it run ?
4. Thanks in advance for any reply
Many would say the Dreametech L10S Ultra is better and cheaper
Which vacuum is better for tiles and floorboards?
Victor, you are being watch by the Chinese communist via your beloved vacuum.
I never thought I would see anyone being so obsessed and really study and have a genuine love for vacuums but I have now with this guy. You can just tell vacuums are the love of his life and you will never see or meet anyone more passionate about vacuums than this guy. Love this channel and weirdly like how he talks haha I have a short attention span and can’t listen to people with boring or monotone voices but this guy’s voice and the way he talks keeps me engaged and sticking around. Not to mention his reviews are so in depth and he really puts in all the time to do these extensive tests and reviews and pays for them with his own money and doesn’t do sponsored videos with vacuum companies or get kickback money for talking positive about brands’ products unlike all those fake Eufy H30 hand vacuum reviews by those low tier CZcamsrs. Eufy literally sponsors all those videos and they get money for making a good positive review about their handvac. Just the way all those videos look and the way they are shot and advertised by those CZcamsrs…even the thumbnails and all the tests…they all look the same for some weird reason. It’s as if Eufy told them exactly what to do and have a certain quality of video they are looking for and to copy this video they have for an example and make their review basically the same exact way with the same exact lighting and camera angles and tests. Haha. It’s so blatantly obvious. Also all those CZcamsrs say they’ve had the vacuum for a few days now and it’s the best vacuum on the market and best ever in the history of the human species. Hahaha few days with something isn’t enough time to learn anything. Especially a vacuum you have to wait a while and see how the battery holds up, how easy it is to maintain, and so many other factors then out of the box suction power and battery life on a brand new healthy battery. I trust this guy but not any of those other sponsored reviews.
Well, you just made our day. Thank you!
Please start considering repairability and spare parts availability in your reviews. My 10+ year old roomba is still going after a dustbin change, brush changes, and two battery swaps. They are simple and can be done in just a few minutes. The early ones (i'm not sure about modern) were designed to be modular and easily repaired. This is very valuable to me as I hate trashing things.
I have been waiting for this video! So excited thank you!
Neato really excels in what I care about most. Speed, bin size and getting into corners.
As someone that absolutely loves technology, and science, your channel is god-tier. I've bought four robot Vacuums (3 x Roomba i7+ [upstairs, downstairs, and one for my mom], and 1 x Roomba Braava Jet M6), an upright (Shark Apex), a deep cleaner (Bissell Big Green), and a spotcleaner (Bissell Little Green) based on your reviews. Your testing methodologies make me so happy, because you cover everything I care about, and even some details I never considered before I started watching your channel. I've been watching your channel for over two years now, and my girlfriend even recognizes your voice. She's knows when she can hear your voice, I'm smiling. Your channel has brought both joy and an elevated cleanliness to my and my mom's homes, and we truly appreciate your efforts. Of my nearly 20 years on CZcams, you are the first CZcamsr I'm $ubscribing to. Thank you for your many knowledgeable, unbiased videos.
Also, are you going to test the Narwal Freo? I'm wanting to upgrade my i7+/m6 combo and have been considering the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra, but wanted to know how the Narwal Freo compared. They are similarly priced, with similar features including self-cleaning mopping pads, but when it comes to performance, none of the other CZcamsrs doing reviews have the meticulous scrutiny that I'm looking for.
Looking forward to your next videos! - Mark
Really love the channel, we bought the budget pick you recommended from last year and have been very happy with it. Thank you for your work!
Great to hear! Thank you!
What a great research summary, consistent with VW quality!
BUT - there's always another layer. My first vac bot was an Ecovacs. Long story short, it failed 1 month out of warranty, Ecovacs wouldn't sell me the part that was broken (a $3 belt) and claimed no one (not even vacuum repair shops) can buy parts for Ecovacs products because "it's proprietary information". The only way to fix a broken Ecovacs vacuum is for you to pay shipping (there and back) to THEIR approved repair facility.
Ultimately they replaced the vacuum, with a used one that didn't work, then a new one (of a different model) which has also now died. I wouldn't recommend any Ecovacs products to anyone ever.
Really sorry to hear that but thanks for sharing your experience here.
You are awesome. 3 years ago, because of your video, I bought an S7 (Roborock). It has served me so well.
Great video about robot vacuums! I really enjoyed all the testing specs and that you bought the vacuums.
Quality content as always. We appreciate all the hard work you do!
Much appreciated! Thanks!
thanks! will watch in detail
You did some SERIOUS thorough research on so many categories with proof. Thank you!!!
Thanks!
Thanks for your summary and glad to see Roborock S7MaxVUltra became the bravest warrior. Based on its good reputation, I owned the other Roborock model because of my limit budget, Q7MAX with the auto dock. It also does fantastic job daily, freaking love it.
Thank you 🙏 for all the support and information ❤
I just found your channel, and it’s just amazing what you have done testing the robots, gathering all these data and summarizing it in a video. Respect!
Thank you very much!
This is great content - thanks for all the work you do!
I'd love a more in depth video aimed at the starter / budget audience in the future! I see a lot of discussion on reddit about budget robot vacs and a ton of conflicting opinions
Noted! Thank you!
I'm a cleaning buff and I look to these videos to make informed decisions for the best value and quality of cleaners. Thank you for this!
That is great to hear. Thank you.
Very helpful videos. My 8+ year old Roomba 770 is finally dying and I'm trying to decide what to get as a replacement. My biggest issue that I've had in the past is the Roomba getting stuck on and pulling out rug tassles. I'm hoping the virtual no-go zones may help solve that, but would like to see that incorporated in your future robot vacuum tests. Or maybe it just isn't a problem with the newer vacuums. That would be nice. Thanks again for the great videos.
I initially was put off by how expensive the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra was, but I'm glad I pulled the trigger. It truly is the ultimate all-in-one product for automated vacuuming and mopping. But no product is perfect and I have a couple of callouts.
First, the clean and dirty water tanks don't have have mechanisms for indicating how full or empty they are. The clean water tank can only tell you when it's completely empty, not how empty or full it is. Similar with the dirty water tank, it'll only tell you when it's completely full, but not how full it is. This is important to know before starting a mopping run because you may not have enough water for cleaning or space for emptying. If you knew, you could fill/empty the tanks accordingly.
Second, the mop pad will start to smell really bad after a few runs. This is because it remains moist after cleaning and causes bacteria to form. Roborock solved this problem with a $90 dock attachment which blows heated air at the mop pad and it works well. I'm thinking that by the time they realized this was a problem, it was too late to design the heating module into the original dock. Given the how expensive the entire system already is, I think it makes sense to include this feature in the next generation/iteration of this product.
Somehow US$90 becomes AU$249 with a 10% sales tax (exchange rate says it should be AU$135 + 10% ~= AU$150) ... and they have the gall to claim that's a AU$50 off the full price of $299 ...
Looks like there's a new model - S7 Pro Ultra, has most of the same specs as the S7 MaxV Ultra, but is white in colour, and is also a few hundred cheaper. Aaaand it looks like the new white dock also doesn't have a drying attachment. But that extra accessory you mentioned is already white in colour, so I guess they still want to keep selling it separately ... it also takes a lot of heat and time (and electricity) to dry the mop, though!
...Still, if the S7 Pro Ultra is a cheaper but otherwise identical S7 MaxV, then I guess we use the savings to buy the drying accessory ...
Great job! I totally agree with you.
Thank you so much for your thorough reviews!
You are so welcome!
I used to have pre auto-empty Roombas and couldn’t stand the bin full sensors always getting dusty and telling me it was full. I have an auto empty shark now and love it. No bin sensors to get dusty and no bags to keep buying.
I really appreciate all that you do. Thank you
You are so welcome! Thank you!
Great video! Which vacuum would you recommend for people who don't want the mop feature?
So thorough! You are literally my hero
Aw! Thank you!
Hi, great video did you compare any robo vacums for picking up dirt from corners?
You did this all in about 6 minutes.... YOU are the true winner. Thanks!
Wow, thanks!
Haha, very interesting and helpful video. I have to say that I've been a big fan of Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra; Using it for several months already, the zig-zag cleaning pattern, different cleaning path and mopping path on the map, which allows you track the actions easily; different scrub intensity modes, which is very helpful for a truly housewife, there is scheduled full cleaning and room cleaning, no scheduled room cleaning, while there is a perfect workaround which is called routines where we can add several cleaning tasks and set zone cleaning, very good design. RGB camera and the structured light, the highlighted feature I love the most, I can use it to talk to my dog when I was outside. Just like a security cam, but no extra money needed;
Respect for the GREAT work of this channel, u deserve more subs
Thank you so much 😀
Happy owner of a Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra thanks to your reviews! Couldn't be more pleased with the product. Haven't had to touch a mop or vacuum since I got it
Hey that is great to hear! Thank you!
very good info, considering you tested a lot of these and picked optimal ones is that I was looking
Respect for the hard work you've done. Excellent high quality video.👌🏼
Thanks a lot 😊
@@VacuumWars you are welcome. I am on the point of buying one vacuum cleaner robot. I want to treat my self for my birthday in few days 😂. In two three days time I'll definitely decided which one to buy. After checking your videos little bit more and comparing little bit my predicted budget for that purchase with your advices.
Dude youre a legend for doing this much work. This is exactly what i was looking for
Thank you!
Thanks for taking the time to review these and for sharing. Great review
Thanks!
Thank you so much for this! Which robot you find best if you wouldn't use it's mop feature? I have oiled wooden floor and I'll never use mop on it..
thank you for great review
One testing metric that I have found has been killing me lately is the Auto Empty Bin for my iRobot. The robot will suck up a kids sock or decent size Lego and it with the funnel shape of the Bin's suction tube it makes it out of the iRobot but gets stuck halfway up the pipe. I have to unscrew it and get the debris out. It doesn't happen frequently, but I think there are some more metrics to be squeezed out of the bins rather than "it has one so +4 points". How often does it need to be dumped, what size of vacuumed objects can make it into the robot which will then be sucked into the bin, how close can the robot navigate between objects to get in and out of the bin, etc. Thanks for everything that you do. I have told many people about your channel and have bought an upright, cordless, and robot vacuum based on your advice.👍
Thank you for your work !!
You're very welcome!
What would you say is the best budget-mid vacuum/mop for pet hair? obstacle avoidance would be a plus too
I currently own a Neato D7 and an iRobot Braava Jet M6 and I am thinking on upgrading. While I don't mind having two separate bots with separate duties, it certainly has pros and cons. I run my botvac multiple times a week and I am starting to desire the idea of one that auto-empties its bin. Object detection would be a plus too since my cats and kid love to leave their toys out. Lastly, a bot vac that does a better job handling hair/fur would be great. My D7 does an excellent job cleaning the house but its brush head is notorious for getting hair wrapped around it, destroying the silicone blades and gumming up the bearing, requiring very frequent maintenance.
As for my mop bot, it is "alright" but it kind of defeats some of its purpose if I have to swap out the pad and refill its reservoir after every use. Plus, on some of my floor types (those with a glossy type surface versus matte) the mop bot leaves visible streaks on the floor. It's a shame iRobot took away the vibrating mop pad capability that was present in their lower end models, I think it might help in my situation.
I've been holding out hoping that iRobot would release a successor to its S9+ since I prefer the D-shaped robot vacs for their better corner coverage and wider brush bar. But with their focus on the J series, it makes me question if we will ever see a newer S-series anytime soon. And seeing that their latest J series with the built in mop still doesn't address cleaning the pad nor refilling the reservoir, I am starting to wonder if that will even be an option from them in the near future.
The Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra really catches my eye and checks a lot of the boxes I am looking for in a vacuum/mop bot, with exception to it not being D-shaped. But I am very concerned in how they may be handling data, privacy, and security. In the past, they didn't rank too well amongst their competitors when it came to those concerns. It seems like they are making improvements, but it is still a bit concerning knowing where the company is homebased out of, where their servers reside, and how they might be leveraging anything they collect from the devices. This is where their competitors like iRobot and Neato might be doing a better job. If someone can explain and rationalize any concerns and show how that might not be an issue any longer with Roborock, I might reconsider.
Yessss...S7 MaxV Ultra is just AMAZING!
Glad you are happy with it!
0:52 LMAO, Funny stuff and kinda cool! Thx for all the work!!!
If anyone's looking for an in between the budget and mid level pick for pricing, one of last years budget winners the Roborock s5 max goes for $350-380 on its regular sales which slots nicely between the $170 Eufy and $600 Z10.
I was hoping you had a separate ranking for if your place had mostly carpet which one you would recommend.
Is the data on the spreadsheet available for us to look at also?
It may be worth checking out some of the reddits for brands, Ecovacs are notorious for mapping issues and generally having problems after a few months of use.
I got my first Roborock based on your suggestions- might be time for an upgrade
Do you think the eufy 30c is better than the nre eufy 32g pro? (I've had the eufy 32g pro for 3 days now it's working great absolutely love it)
Great vid, very helpful
Thank you!
The roborock is on sale at target now for 1059 instead of 1399. Just bought it
Awesome a mopping robot gotta Love that
great review. What are your thoughts on the J7+ plus the M6 mop vs the roborock S7 Max Ultra for performance as a vacuum and mop not counting the auto fill of the Roborock. One combo better then the other? Hope you respond and provide an answer. BF sales are starting.
4:27 about this: Our s5 max doesnt really use its whole bin size when we are vacuuming the floor. We dont have random debree, just dust and short hair(no pet im shedding lol). When the robot gives the warning "empty the dust bin", what you see when you check the dust bin is that only a volume, going from the opening mouth to the filter has been filled and sides are empty. Iirc this thing has a 460ml? capacity but in reality it only uses about 200ml of it before getting full. It is maybe closer to 300+ml if you have just cleaned the filter but it goes back. If your tests reflected this, it would have been better.
I'm considering buying the s7 ultra, but I wonder if I should go for the maxv version or not. Price difference is quite big, but I'm not sure if it's worthy or not. Any help?
Thank you for your reviews. My wife wants a robot vacuum for Christmas and there are soo many options that it gets overwhelming. I was looking at your dreametech z10 pro recommendation, is there any type of warranty or service on robot vacuums? I've read horror stories of vacuums diying within the first year
Another great job!!! thanks
Our pleasure!
Love the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra! I concur with your conclusion.
Thanks! And glad you are happy with it!
It SUCKS that this channel doesn't have more subscribers.
Very nice work!
Thanks a lot!
Great video, but please add a black carpet since Roboroc models cant work on dark surfaces (carpetets and flooring) and for me at least, this is key to work in our home =)
Sad to see the narwhal that I recommend didn’t make the list, can’t wait for a review if you can secure one, love your videos!
I neeeedddd this spreadsheet. I'm looking to narrow down my options a bit more. I couldn't find a 2022 video for best budget robovacs.
Kindly add your opinion about hair tangles in these 3 top robots
So whats the disadvantage of dreametech bot z10 pro? Its much cheaper than the premium but seems to have all the features I see the others have?
Hello, what would you guys choose with only hard floor in house(must have mopping function), and couple small decorative carpets ?
I have that exact same rug!!!
Legit recommending everyone even whispering or THINKING about robot vacuums to check out your channel.
Looking forward to the 2024 (I know that's next years) robot vacuum comparison, As I'll have enough money to buy a new one then. I trust you so much on this topic I'm just gonna pick what you think best.
Thanks so much!
which would you recommend for sewing thread pickup/tangling. Also avoiding a mirror that is 2 inches off the ground please ? also bagless would be good but not a deal breaker. thank you
Perfect timing! Looking to upgrade my eufy 30c. Something that can handle my cat who thinks the Eufy is his toy...
What do you think about the Dreame L10s ultra?
Thank goodness for this. My Deebot N8+ just bit it 6 months after my manufacture's warranty expired (motor blew) and Ecovacs told me to kick rocks. I'm a little obsessed with clean floors, I need a new robot ASAP! Needed this video
Sorry to hear that about the Deebot, but I'm glad we were able to help!
@@VacuumWars Your videos are very helpful! I'm crossing my fingers for a good cyber Monday deal
Your video made me get an S7 V Ultra.
Also for those of you that want to try both, Amazon has an extended holiday returns until January 31st.
You technically have 2+ months to try them at.
Hope you really enjoy it!
@@VacuumWars how often do you wash the mopping pad? Any other cleaners that could be used besides the out of stock Roborock floor cleaner?
@@VacuumWars even I used to have a shark IQ Self Empty but I gave it to my person next door so I got a BISSELL PowerGlide Allergen Pet
Just curious = what would be the best one for pet hair?
How is this a 6m video!? Amazing work as always!!!!
Dude amazing video!!
Glad you liked it!!
Hi! Been following for a while and your content is great, keep up the amazing work! I just have a major concern, could you possibly include a test or just spend two words on the maintenance of these robots/vacuum cleaners?
(I bought a Samsung jet but personally I'm not quite satisfied with it due to the fact that it gets unusable after every clean. So it's good but it actually is not cause instead of putting effort into cleaning the house I have to put more effort into cleaning the vacuum itself!)
Thank you so much
How are these robots at surface transitions, hard floor to carpet, vinyl irregularities, etc? Also, does it compensate for temporary obstacles such as shoes left on the floor? If you move furniture, will the vac automatically re-map the room or do you have to tell it to?
Thx for the video. It came at a perfect time. Is there anywhere we can see the score for the Dreame L10S Ultra? How close was it to making it to the top 3? Based on my own (limited) research, I would pick that over the roomba and the ecovacs that took 2nd and 3rd place.
I think it would be #1 for sure and beat out the Roborock. It's a HUGE miss that it wasn't included in the testing, or at a minimum amended to this video and/or added in it's on very warranted review.
@Vacuum Wars Could you do a review of the new Narwal Freo? I'm debating on the Narwal Freo or the Roborock Ultra. I have mostly hardwood floors in my home, so I'm curious if having a machine like Narwal Freo would be better. But I love the smart features of the Roborock as well.
I bought my roborock s5max and I love it because of your channel
That is great to hear! Glad you are enjoying it and thank you!
What is a good robot vacuum without moping and best for pet hair? Also would like the premium features to avoid objects like toys. Waste bin or no waste bin. Also navigation mapping.
Wow, that's a lot of dedication. Thank you very much!
I miss my beloved Neato so much on your list. What happened to them? Are they still active or could they not stand the competition and innovation?
Do you have any suggestions on a best robot vacuum if you dont care to have the mopping feature?
We bought a Shark Vertex cordless (awesome for cat hair and kitty litter on hard floors!) and a Shark HydroVac Cordless Pro XL from your reviews. A robot vacuum is great for cleaning under beds and sofas, but the roller on our eufy 12 gets clogged with cat hair. What is the best robot vacuum for someone with all hard floors, has robot friendly rooms, only cleans one room at a time and will not use it to mop? The iLife V8s looks good (bigger dustbin, two power modes, path cleaning), but is there something else I should look at?
Those spread sheet 😍
Which robot vacumn is best for thick carpet?
As someone in the market For a new Vacuum robot, do you know or say which Vacuum uses cloud fratures or stores data Off sight?
What do you think of the Xiaomi X10+ that just came out? If I understood correctly, it should have all the features of the roborock s7 maxv ultra but at a cheaper price!
For me Narwal Freo is the best and meets the best need. Although it has no fancy front laser, it is the most well thought of design, true people who knows home cleaning. Unimaginable quiet is the main plus point, very intelligent navigation that can even differentiate a door. And a removal washing tray that user do not need to bent down and wipe. And a well design base station screen.
What is the best robot vacuum that does not mop. Thank you!
Hello. have you tested Roidmi EVA? is it comparable to Ecovacs X1 Omni ultra or dreame L10s ultra?
Bruh they need more reviewers like you my man.
Thanks!
