Hey this was really well done! Animation quality is really nice, the lighting was good, and I love the sudden shift from dark to a more comedic atmosphere. Very nice!
There's a movie about this. I remember watching the ending of that movie. The father and his family agrees to die together so he killed his wife and kids by shooting them when finally it was his turn to die he was met with military trucks coming in for support the last minute. The father didn't kill himself in the end. It was a depressing scene unlike here where Nick celebrates like a frickin jockey.
There was not enough bullets for everyone. One bullet missing. He chose to be the one to die to the Monsters or bugs in the mist while everyone would have died quick.
this reminds me of a game i played of the parish with a bunch of randos we all died except for elllis, who somehow managed to make it towards the end despite almost dying to a ledge, having almost no health the entire round, and being rushed by every single special infected. but despite all that, they made it to the chopper whilst everyone else died on the way
I think there was a video of this that I watched back than but I forgot about it but it was Ellis with low health making it to the heli, could probably be the same as this since he took a lot damage doing a fall to the Heli.
I thought this was a dramatic animation. When I saw the ending, I realized I had forgotten that there is almost no drama animation with Source Filmmaker.
It's amazing that this video is not only reference to The Mist, but proof that people still remember it 24 years later. Also, seeing Ellis sleep on Coach with a smile on his face is so weird in my opinion lol
The thumbnail re-kindled a memory and I knew the reference from that alone. God the ending to that movie was so tragic, but that's probably what makes it so memorable. Nick seemed happy though lol.

I’m starting to think what if Nick hadn’t fired? Maybe Zoye and the rest of the team drove down the alley because they heard gunshots. If Coach, Nick, Ellis and Rochelle hadn’t given up, they would have tried to stay calm which would have meant they wouldn’t hit the team from the first Left 4 Dead. Or maybe Francis would have hit the streets anyway, who knows?
The best part of the entire movie (The Mist), they should be proud they managed to make something so iconic. And gosh darn it I don’t think there’s a better ending for this animation. Not unexpected for him and yet I didn’t expect it.

@@GoattEight I've thought about it a bit and perhaps this video could be seen more as an "epilogue", the reason they're in the Mustang is because they were escaping the military. So I might actually make other "endings" following that.
