Miguel's half crescent/half hook kick in the second fight looks to me like someone attempting a crescent kick but with limited flexibility. Makes sense given he's just starting out 👍

@fitnessalex74 Nope I still think I'm right. Have a look again at 2022! That exclamation mark means it's a factorial so 2022! Absolutely does not equal 2022 . 2022!= 1x2x3x4...x2022. It multiplies every integer up until 2022 which is way, way bigger than 2022. A little bit dad joke esque but I assure you I was paying full attention and to get a little morbid unless someone works out immortality neither of us will ever see 2022!
The fighting scenes are real because the actors actually need to train for the fights and sometimes while they fight for the show they break some bones
They train mostly the choreographies

The block punches u saw from robby was the style of karate he learned he learned from Miyagi-Do which is about defense so he was blocking and waited for the right moment to attack

This year I started training shotokan karate, and I wanted to know if the first 5 defenses (age-uke, soto-uke, uchi-uke, gedan-barai and shoto-uke) work in real combat, already age-uke, gendan-barai. They leave you very vulnerable to counterattacks; soto-uke, uchi-uke, shoto-uke are less exposed, and it already helped me a lot, if possible make a video about it.
Well done for starting👍these blocks may not work exactly how you practice them in line work, but they have applications that can work definitely

When you apply them to sparring you make them much smaller and more precise. You learn the large movement to learn to move your torso and hips into your blocks, so you don’t get clapped when someone really tries to hurt you. (Been training shotokan since I was 6 so almost 2 decades now). Spar, spar, spar and I don’t mean point sparring you’ll begin to get it👍🏻

You should react to more Cobra Kai fight scenes or some other fight scenes. I like how you explained that simply slapping your hand to block would break your hand. I also like how you demonstrated some of the moves. But yeah you should totally react to more Cobra Kai fight scenes or something from like Accident Man.

I like these types of videos. I would say season 4 is the best season to react to. imo it has the best choreography and there is a lot to look at in season 4 fights

That's a kind of hammer punch variation😅 but in that at the end we turn the hands inwards like hook kick... It'd go straight and at hitting time rounding inwards

You should react to pankration, it is considered a possibility that it provided most basic principles for other martial arts started in the east after the expansion campaigns of Alexander the Great. It's a really cool martial art that has all the principles of mma down so it would be a solid start.

How many martial arts have you learned
what karate style do you do?
Some of the kicks may mot seem like karate because the cobra kai fighting style is not karate. Its Korean tang soo do (also known as Korean karate).
