In my perspective, merits of technology; main idea one,main idea two surpass it's demerits; main ideas one . I wrote this statement in introduction and I got 5.5 band ...is it wrong way or not ..?

I have an query..that is.. In my first chance in writing i got 6.0..n others three 5...but as pr my say my exm gone good.. not that good but average n not soo bad also...i was quite satisfied..then after few days i got to see i got overall 5.5 band... Can i be try for next chance??.. Is this true that in first chance they don't qualified the students??
