Gza's whole verse was a diss to record labels for how they treat their artists. It is based partly on his own personal experiences. Gza released an album before Wu Tang's debut album called "Words from the Genius" in 1991 on Cold Chillin Records.
'The Wu is too slammin' for these Cold Killin labels
That ain't had hits since I seen Aunt Mabel
Be doing artists in like Kane did Abel
Now their money's getting stuck to the gum under the table...'

lol yea.. he talking about them record label companies dont know nothing about real hip hop and they only in it for themselves at the artists expense. I tried explaining it but too much depth there.. he better off watching the Hulu series for the abbreviated hollywood version.

West Coast had catchier laid beats, weaker lyrics, but more gangsta themes (in general) vs east coast which had grimier beats, more intricate lyrics, and a WIDE variety of themes (mostly street, but could be whatever).. especially during the 90s.. Biggie is commercialized rap. I never liked him. he STILL rhymed CIRCLES around Tupac.. rappers (groups) like Hieroglyphics and Freestyle Fellowship are dope as hell though.
U-god came in late due to legal issues..
Wu Tang got 9 members alive(Masta killa wasnt in this song), (one deceased rip odb) and hundreds of affiliates (Sunz of Man, Killarmy, Wu Syndicate etc, etc)
it says "exit: Prince Rakeem" because at this point RZA ditched the name Prince Rakeem and he was now just RZA hence it saying "enter: The RZA".. It kinda symbolizes him ditching the music industry (which did him dirty and GZA talks about it in his verse next) and becoming their OWN thing.. Their story is on Hulu as a show "Wu Tang: an American Saga" with real actors playing them (Dave east plays Method Man)
GZA entire verse is about the record industry taking advantage of artists.. so the industry does artists in like Cane did his own brother in.. GZA is trashing the music industry, saying record execs dont know good hip hop when they know NOTHING about what makes hip hop great, he talking about ARs from record companies being phony and dumb and that Wu Tang is straight gutter and grimy..
