Power Cord Install On A Power Tool

  • This How-To instructional video shows how to replace a power cord on a typical power tool. If you're cord is frayed or your tool runs intermittently, most likely it's a power cord problem. With a few common tools you can DIY it, it's easy!

    I had the same problem I did the repair from your video but on your video I noticed you left the white wire trapped in their casing off the handle just thought I would point it out to you but very handy video thank you

    I just cut mine in half, tonight.....this should help - a DeWalt Skill Saw, just like the video. Thanks.

    White wire was pinched when you put the handle back to gether

      Indeed it was, good eye. We didn't edit that in order to expedite the video, since this was for instructional purposes.

      Do you have anything on the electric brake? I have a DW364 from 1986(ish) I am replacing the power cord but the electric brake didn't work last time I used it, like 10yrs ago.
