Since I was a kid I always wished I could live at pioneer village ,I always felt that I was born in the wrong times

I never understood the 'Pioneer' village when it's 1867 and after they are presenting; the pioneer, hard-scrabble, survival mode life that the pioneers lived was gone by then, particularly in Toronto. Maybe if you went up north there was still a pioneer life being lived but down here along Lake Ontario it was at least 30 years or so gone.
