I caught this song the day it was released and have since watched virtually every single reaction to it that has been posted on Y.T., even the ones in foreign languages, as I can still at least observe their body language reaction. I must be close to 400 listens or more, and It still hits me in the Feelz, every... single... time. I Loved the original, but the style never once made me stop to think about the actual lyrics and how deep they really are. This version has Definitely made my top ten list of favorite songs of all time.

I'm in a similar situation as you. 41 years old and the original was such a big part of my time back then. I think I also got the file through LimeW. 🙈The good old times, right? 🤣 I was very sceptical when I saw the title of this song and even hesitated for a few hours before clicking on the video. But then I sat there, just like you. Shaking my head, with multiple layers of goosebumps all over my body and tears running without warning.
This is THE version of this song that I didn't know I NEEDED. Ronnie has indeed turned a timeless classic into a masterpiece, and I am very grateful for it!

The good old days yeah. It was a brilliant time 😉😁 It is fully understandable to be reluctant to listen to any other version of this song, but just like You it hit me hard and got under my skin from the very beginning.
Everything is going very well for me, I've just been extremely busy with both work and other things so my "hobby" had to be put away for a while. But from now I will try to put out a few reactions a week at least. There will be "empty" weeks, but not months anymore 😉 Take care my friend 💖

I think Ronnie gives the text the right, worthy framework. The Papa Roach version is too rocky for the seriousness of the lyrics. That's exactly what Ronnie conveys in this song, the pain and the fight with and against evil thoughts. Surely only people who have psychological problems and fight their demons every day can understand this. How often her mental world collapses and threatens to bury her. How many times do you think, “I can’t go on like this” and fight your way out, only to find again and again, “Nothing is okay.” But you keep fighting, every day. They fight with all their strength against being buried under their collapsing world. The sad thing is that too many people lose this battle, ultimately running out of strength and being buried under their collapsing world.
