I remember us speaking on twitch long ago about getting you a sponsor for one of these guys, I'm glad Montana stepped up to the plate! Congrats man
Having Montana's support is really awesome and humbling! I'm glad to have them support the channel and glad to finally paint again after so long
@@Theartistblock they have amazing products, i love their 94 series, also smells like candy
@@xxxnsfw wrong Montana. He is sponsored by the good Montana. The German one called Montana cans . You are talking about the shit Montana, the Spanish one. Mtn it is reffered to
@@trillmitchell oh, i wouldn't a agree with "shit" but thanks for the experience of being corrected on the internet.
@@xxxnsfw maybe shit was the wrong word because it isn't the worst paint on the market.. But for the price point unless it is the cheapest paint available in your region there are much better options available.. Didn't mean to offend you bud. Stay up 👍
Ayyyye finally hahaha. Excited to see u paint again
Yes.
lol you and i both. im over the moon to finally be able to paint again
Keep on painting with cans that's what your channel needs grim to gain that following gain that viewership and i love all your content keep it up🔥👍🏼
Thanks dude I appreciate the love
I must’ve been watching you for around 4 years now Jon, always great content and advice but it’s awesome to see you on the cans 👊👍👌
Grim using a can?....sweet.
Always wondered what your can skills are like, damn good by the looks of it.
Cant wait to see you paint some more!
So glad you got Montana backing you!
Lol I'm super glad to have Montana's support it means the world! I also appreciate the kind words! My can control is still a little rusty but I'm happy and excited to practice again to get the rust off
Great advice brother! I agree with you when it comes to using the same color outline for my 3D..
while i love a nice black outline, colored outlines are always really nice to me
Great vid G. Love the demonstration!
im glad, i really hope to do many more man :D
Great video grim 🔥
thanks man :D
Its so awesome that I we got a paint vid! Congrats with Montana
thanks man, i cant wait to make more vids on walls for people
Woohooooooooooo my mans is on cans again!!!!!
I'm super happy to be back on walls! I cant wait to do more, paint frequently again and get the rust off my can control for good this time. Feels really good being back on a wall
Thank you this is so helpful
glad you enjoyed it and glad it helped! Im glad to finally be able to do tutorials on walls, looking forward to doing more.
Seen an Insta live talking about this vid, AND FINALLY
lol i was a bit too excited to make this for people, being back on a wall was a blast. im looking forward to more videos like this in the future.
@@Theartistblock me too🤌🏾🤌🏾
really nice to see you paint on the wall, looking forward to painting some piece finally.
also i have an idea for video - it could be like speed painting and voice over, in which you would be explaining why how you are doing that sketch (for example - here i decided to adjust that letter to add more weight to that side of the piece or i added some extension here to fill the neg. space and i connected it to the letter like that so that it flows with the origin...)
it would be cool to see your thought process while creating sketch and how you are making decisions what to adjust in the piece
holy crap dude thats an amazing idea! ill for sure do that!
@@Theartistblock thanks, cant wait for it, it will be super informative
Haha all the trolls that were like "why should I listen to you, you don't even paint" must be having an aneurysm after seeing you use a can 😆
Great video, as always! 👌
lol im sure they'll make something else up to hate me for but im glad we took this off their list of reasons to hate me lol
@@Theartistblock haters gonna hate I guess - ah well, anyone who's heard of Demer, is serious about art and/or learning will know right away your info is top tier. Everyone else doesn't really matter what they think or say, imo ✌
Salute Mr Grim
What caps do you use? and when? Thanks. Great vid, nice to see you getting up with paint. I’m glad Montana is pickin’ you up
I know i have a bag of caps somewhere in my house but idk where that is lol so I ended up using just the caps that came on the cans and nothing else. 1 cap at 0:33 the whole time
Damn man might actually buy Montana next time now
This was good. I like the speed you speak at, and after watching tons of different people doing graffiti, I think you’re the most helpful. It was nice to see someone painting in a layer order that works best for them, and then acknowledging that others may have better results another way. I like Montana paints as well. Do you have any thoughts about how best to control flow differences between gold vs black (low vs high pressure)? I seem to have more issues with full cans of Black paint in the low pressure MGold cans, and the MBlack cans of black paint act up when they are getting low. Agitation, PNW climate issues (cold/wet), could just be me?
when it came to any high pressure can, ironically i felt that keeping a steady pace worked best. I find that many people feel the need to speed up and rush with high pressure and this creates lots of issues, but if you can back the can up slightly from the wall (to not drip) and go at a nice steady pace then you'll have lots of success
Steady I can do. I’ve also just discovered that the surface I’m practicing on, is the issue. I use canvas drop cloths with plastic backing, I tack them to the fence in the backyard. But the surface is porous and variable. Walls and metal, are the ticket. Thanks for the detailed response. Congratulations on the Montana support.
More of these videos please!!
lol agreed, i want to do tons more tutorials and even just speed paints on walls. Any ideas for another tutorial, anything or any topic you'd like me to cover? community suggestions are always appreciate
The Artist Block I still struggle to get a clean result with a can, just some can control basics or outlining tips would awesome! Even how to reduce drips etc...
The Artist Block even just watching you rock a piece would be extremely beneficial
Dope to see u on walls and that Montana is supporting you! I have a question can u only shade with the color or does black work too. Or will the black come out way too strong
lol thanks man, im supper grateful for Montana's support! To answer your question, you can use black if you really want to but it's not the best option, like you said, it tends to be way too strong in most cases but even so this may not be an issue depending on color, or depending on how realistic you want the colors to be. If you're going for something more cartoonish, or kinda real then black might work, especially if the colors are darker, but if you want it to be as realistic as possible, there are tons of better options. As mentioned before color is important, if you try to shade a yellow with black then you're going to have issues for sure.
In short, you can use black if you don't mind the unnatural-looking shadows black gives off. If you want more real, convincing and natural shadows then use more realistic shading colors/techniques, so things like dark blues, purples reds, or you can use the opposite color on the color wheel as many painters do.
@@Theartistblock THANKS! appreciate u really answering that. Keep up the good work! I’m excited to see what’s coming next

Just my opinion Grim, but I was thinking. Even though you already have a throw up study video I kinda want some kind of walk through on where to start.

early birds are always appreciated lol
But those colours you had make me wanna switch
eyy look at me all first and shit.
Lol congrats man I appreciate it
For some reason sound quality is very low mate!
its strange, i noticed that on my one pc, but on my other devices, the audio was ok. idk what it is, but ever since I got a new comp the audio is either much too low on some devices and much too loud on others . ill look into it more and see if I can fix it for all devices. thanks for pointing it out, thought maybe it might just be my speakers on my one comp so its good to know its not
The volume on this video is really low for some reason.
Idk why that is, on some devices it apparently is too loud, on others its super low and on others it's fine. I ran into this issue on one of my laptops and thought it was my broken speakers causing it to be low but you as well as a few others confirmed that's not the case. I'll look into this weird volume issue and see what's up. Thanks for pointing this out man I really appreciate it
@@Theartistblock No problem bro, its only this video. Its low in headphones and the same with external speakers. I tried my phone too and its the same.
Grim? Using cans? Whoa now
