Amazing and unique watch. Sad they didn't make more of them.

I would LOVE to have this and the "Snowflake" GS springdrives. My two favorite Grand Seikos.

the lighting in this video does this watch NO justice. the watch is absolutely stunning in person. also, it wear a lot smaller than it's measurements may suggest.

@@isaiahhudson5470 Depends on your style and confidence. I have a 7.25 inch wrist. I’d say it more naturally fits larger wrists.

I guess we can await the Godzilla vs. James Bond comparison, Seiko vs. Omega.

Too bad about the ads at the end of the video. I would have loved to have seen that lume glowing in the dark.
Thanks for the video. Everything about that watch clicked all my boxes except the non-rotating bezel. Such a pity considering it's a 200m water resistant watch.

Lighting needs to be behind you to light up the watch. With light in front of the camera, the camera adjusts and darkens the entire frame. The information is good, just need to work on lighting

Could be worn safely and with comfort on wrists as small as 11 centimeters. Can also be used as individual shield in case of someone going crazy in an overcrowded US shopping mall. Incredible timepiece.

One must ask why the original owner got rid of a relatively new, limited edition release.

It hit the AD's on November 29. It's just out.
Don't see this one listed, it must be a watch they got to do this video. WB will be able to get you a new one if you like, I am sure.

I think Watch Box is a GS AD so they get new watches from them.

That's my Birth year watch! and would fit my 6.75-7.0 inch wrist very well, unfortunately it may never make it 😂😂
Maybe you can do a giveaway!!! 🙏😂

Very Beautiful but a tad too big. Love the polishing and angles of this piece. But when you're dealing with Godzilla what else would you wear? Thanks for sharing Tim...good job.

This is actually a fairly good looking and unique watch when you remove its size out of the equation...if Grand Seiko would make this is 40-41mm, I'd be all over it.

Very nice overall, if a little too large. Black polishing an entire case is all very well and good, and a GS trademark, but isn’t widely adopted by other manufactures for a reason. As they get scratched and scruffy very quickly according to some people that actually own them. They’re just too smoothly finished to begin with.

  • @CrimFerret
    @CrimFerret Před 4 lety

I like the case, dial, and movement. Everything else seems like they are channeling Omega with one of their silly limited edition Speedmasters that might as well be unlimited. The graphic on the display case back is horrible. They should have done a solid case back with an engraving of Godzilla stepping through the Seiko Wave logo or some such. The biggest downside is the price. They could have at least included a titanium bracelet as well as the strap . At close to double the price of the titanium version of their Spring Drive GMT, there is no way that's going to hold up on the pre-owned and gray market. Especially not with 650 of them available. I predict these will be selling at under 50% of MSRP within a year which would probably be a fair price for them to begin with.

Overall, I like the watch but not enough to add it to my collection.
    - The power reserve indicator placement looks like an afterthought. It looks out of place on the dial.
    - The size is a bit too thick and large. Weight distribution will be skewed.
    - Not a fan of the hour markers.
