Awesome video dude. I think that most investors, even when they are old, will still be buying stocks if prices go down. The focus of an 80 year old Investor will most likely be family and legacy and not short term profit.
I plan to retire at the end of 2023 at 59 after 36 years in Telecom as a sales engineer. My wife will retire in October 2023 and she's loving life! But walking away from a good income stream and building the nest egg to living from the nest egg is a scary proposition couple with the alarming recession and CPI report
God places great things on the other side of fear. My advice, don't wait till the end the year. I just attended a funeral of a guy that retired in December 2020 at the age of 62 -- Life is short. Live it on your terms.

Most people either do not understand the power of compound interest, or are just impatient. For the average Joe, however, I think it is just best to invest in the S&P 500, and just wait, which is reliable, albeit extremely long-- lots of years. Or just use a professional analyst and speed up wealth creation. Most people underestimate the power of the latter.

Investing in the stock market has HISTORICALLY provided higher returns than other forms of investment. According to Morningstar, the average annual return for the S&P 500 index, which measures the performance of 500 large-cap stocks, was approximately 10% from 1926 to 2020.
Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are alot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look.
The best course of action if you lack market knowledge is to ask a consultant or investing coach for guidance or assistance. Speaking with a consultant helped me stay afloat in the market and grow my portfolio to about 65% since January, even though I know it sounds obvious or generic. I believe that is the most effective way to enter the business at the moment.

I've shuffled through investment coaches and yes, they can be positively impactful to an individual's portfolio, but do your due diligence to find a coach with grit, one that withstood the 08' crash. The market has been a turmoil since covid, the brief relief rallied for only a year and now the devastating effects of pumping trillions into the economy is here and will be for a while.

This is still a window-shopping maket. But there are a lot of intriguing stockss to watch from a variety of sectors. You don’t have to act on every forecast, hence i will suggest you get yourself a financial-advsor that can provide you with entry and exit points on the shares/ETF you focus on.

As an elder millennial, one of the few advantages is having lived through the Great Recession. My advice. Reduce unnecessary expenses, increase your savings by investing in financial markets and do not sell. One thing I know for sure is that diversifying your income can help insulate you from much of the craziness going on in the world.

The stock market is a way to hedge against inflation. Most notably amidst recession, investors need to understand where and how to allocate funds to hedge against inflation and still make profits.

it all depends on how long you're willing to hold for and your strategies, stocks might likely tank further, but making serious gains in this downtrend shouldn't be a problem if you're a pro

I like to keep a small "in case the market crashes" fund to try and take advantage of the low prices. When the market goes south, I use that money spread out over the following months buying my targeted stocks on low days. on top of my usual DCA, They keep dropping and I keep buying. Meaning you likely need to have a few hundred thousand if not more invested in it. Re-investing dividends back into the same stock certainly does snowball with compound interest, but you only really start seeing it after 20 years of never stopping and likely needing to add additional money of your own with it….so it’ll be time consuming and costly. The way I see it if you have a million dollars at some point, that’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between 50 to 70 thousand in dividend income

So if you’re trying to invest into businesses with actual growth, looking at dividends is a waste of time. Why are you investing into a company if they’re returning capital to you because they think you can make better use if it than they can. There’s only one reason, and it is a place to park your capital to pay you a small return with large established businesses because you aren’t trying to grow your portfolio anymore, but to live off of it. It’s not much different from bond investing.
