Hi, If it´s any comfort, I (and I´m pretty sure others do too) enjoy your posts. I don´t mind if there´s some time in between because life gets in the way. Life gets in the way for most (all?) of us. I haven´t been camping nor sleeping out in at least 3 months due to life. The closest I get to sleeping out at the moment is keeping the bedroom window open 😉. Kind regards Alain

I’ve been there and experienced that lack of enthusiasm for it all too Allan. End of the day, need to do what’s right for you. That’s why I changed direction a bit with my channel about 6 months ago, new channel name etc. I agree with the other commenter about maybe just getting some camps in for you and not filming anything. I am glad you haven't had enough of utube, it has taken me ages to find the time to sit down and catch up with utube vids but I do look forward to watching yours, be it ramble, rant, cuppa or camp your serene story telling voice is like a calming pill in a manic and often unkind world. I appreciate your efforts.

Good Sunday Morning Alan, I just came onto this little video piece, and it brought a issue of mine to light……..do you find, or have you experienced a person coming along when you’ve set up camp, and they say……Your not meant to be here maté camping, move on…….and I’m only doing what your doing in this video, having a few hours with a Tarp and coffee in a wood bit, that gets to me, and sometimes I feel I’ll give up with outdoor picnicking, that’s what it is, a picnic with a cover for a few hours…….so I tell myself, do I pack up, move on, or face confrontation ? So listening to you on this video, made me think, I normally end up explaining to my invading human, that I’ll go off in a few mins, then they walk away. Would you, ? Or would you stand your ground, so it becomes Custers last stand, so to speak, so my fed up feeling, is from this, then I get fed up if I don’t go out for a hike, anyway, I’m still going out woodlanding lol, and glad you are too……..Brian
Its very rare that someone finds me. It did happen when I was filming a recent video. The guy just asked what I was doing and I explained I was filming a video for CZcams. He was quite interested and stopped chatting with me for about 15 minutes. He walked off with one of my cards so he could tell his brother about the channel. 😁

Nature connection is medicine for you, secondly inspiration for others via youtube but only if one feels compelled. Compelled should be a freely flowing almost natural reaction without doubt or hinderance otherwise it becomes a sense of duty and a burden placing unnecessary weight on ones shoulders. Ten minute philosophical coffee chats in the woods could be a compromise between no filming or lots of filming. In any event, keep getting out 👍
I need to do my giveaway video and then that's me done for CZcams. Annoyingly I can't be bothered and keep putting it off. I'm off to Norfolk on the weekend for the yearly camp with Carl and the lads. Do what works for you mate 👍
Last Halloween In heavy rain I went camping with my dog Holly a WP corgi and a orange ( because it's Halloween ) single skin 2 person dome tent, £6 from the Cash & Carry. I arrived at the woods about 12.30am, by the time I got the tent up, Holly had buggered off, for the next 2 hours I wandered about the wood calling her name with my headtorch, mobile phone light and a right angled torch, then I gave up and went into the tent. At about 3am I could hear traffic on the road, I was scared she would wonder on to it, so I climbed over a 4 foot wall and a 5 foot barbed wire fence, I took a wander around the outside of the wood, it was surrounded by a 5 foot fence and on the road side a 4 foot wall plus about 100 meters of field with animals in it, Holly being a WP corgi, born with 20% vision she couldn't travel that far herself, I went back to the tent and watched 'They Who Dare' on my 8" tablet and ate ration pack lemon cake and curry peanuts. At 7am the sun was up, so I thought I'd go looking for her again, a few meters from the front of the tent was a giant rhododendron bush, I found her in there, by the time I got her back in the tent she looked like a drowned rat. It's a camping trip I won't forget. Camping with my Ex girlfriend was less hassle. lol
The last few years have taxed me to the limit. I don't mind admitting it. The lockdown bullshit, the fear mongering and absurd levels of stupidity. These things took their toll right on the back of surviving the bush fires which we narrowly avoided wiping us out. So I've been very carefully pacing myself so I can recover without dropping the ball. I totally understand where your at. I hesitate to give advice as such, it can be rather boorish to listen too. My daughter wants me to go camping with her and her boyfriend but I'm not sure I'm up to it right now. There are so many fascinating places to show us around where you live though. Where we are is a cultural dessert mate. I used to love taking my girlfriend for drives in the country. Arundel, Lewes, anywhere in Kent. Not a big fan of Eastbourne or Brighton though. Eurgh. Give me a nice country pub with a ploughman's lunch after a walk on the south down's. I used to fly slope soarers at Devils dyke and Marjorie down's. Happy days.
@@jim-bob-outdoors Do they have any army surplus stores near you ? I have to get my kit online here. America used to be the best place to get kit cheap. I'm a market day scrounger. Gumtree has been a good source for second hand tools and machinery. That would be a good topic just talking from home about where you get stuff. It's a guy thing, sniffing out bargains. I don't buy unless it's quality though. Anyway, just some thoughts...
@@joschmoyo4532very few shops now, most have moved online. I have one about a hours drive away but its only small and has limited stuff. We have some very good online shops here, sometimes I use eBay or Facebook marketplace.
@@jim-bob-outdoors Army and outdoors is the only place I have found down under that gets good kit. But they sell out of the large sizes so quick now. So yes it's the same down under. Very few shops now. Work clothing is getting so expensive now. Total rip off and the quality is Chinese. Stocked up on ddpm when it was cheap. I did score an alpenflage jacket for an excellent price recently. Good for hunting. I try not to wear my 94 smock to much so it lasts. Can't get them anymore. Brilliant jacket. Missed out on the French tent's damn it.
Farmer probably putting fence posts in. Wars in other countries will only cause disruption in our county if we let the protests get out of hand ,which it is on the verge of .hope you find your mojo 😂, God bless you and your family and happy camping 🏕 🙏. Lee

I stopped making my You tube videos like you for many reasons, it’s normal. After three years I started up again.

Just got back from the 1st overnight in weeks. Wet and cold but I enjoyed it.
