- A walk inside Tondo's biggest slum. Although its streetways are being developed, from dirt to concrete, many improvements are still needed. From living spaces to sanitary issues.
This video does not promote poverty, hardship and defeat. But instead my aim is to show victory of humanity's resilience over its struggle caused by lost innocence.
"True HAPPINESS is not found in material things, otherwise, the Emotion of being Happy will lose its authenticity due to outer influence. It should, from the inside transcend outward to infinite freedom."

They have been living here for many years without any help from the Government. If they have money do you think they want to live in this horrible place...nothing they can do just smile but deep inside their heart they are crying
Thank you so much for sharing my friend and greetings friendly from Indonesia

They have no choice that's why they said they are happy living in this place with dirty environment. Actually the Phillipines Government and rich people are happy because they don't have to spend money or give help to the poor people....the rich become more rich and the poor living miserable.
They have small shops but where do these people get money to buy anything?
I never thought the Philippines was this bad?
oh its mostly bad, poverty still rules and the govt arent doing much
Can you talk to someone and find out how do these people get a house there? Do they sell property? Or just build anywhere they can? How does it work? And put English subtitles? So I understand? English? Talk to the local counselor and ask them how come the government doesn’t provide bathrooms, fresh water, etc ?
It was originally a government housing project. But as time goes, people who were not listed to stay flocked the place, and as one of the residents has put it, they are now basically informal settlers. Talks were made to relocate them, in fact there is this new building in the area called “Tondominium” for them to transfer, they just have to pay a monthly $40 ammortization for a unit. But many did not go for it either because they can’t afford or chose not to transfer. In terms of sanitation, the government is already making an effort, indeed just last year when I first went there, many alleys were still made of dirt and mud, but as of now many were upgraded or renovated with concrete and also drainage systems were placed.
They need a school for the children and lunch program
I guess recycling is the only way to feed yourself?
IT is amazing what humans can get used to - looks disgusting but there are worse other places in the world.
I feel bad for these people! The governments should at least help people with basic housing and water and some kind of job?
its the govt that created this in the first place

Do you think they would let a foreigner live there with them??
I don't see why not. Filipinos are very hospitable people, just don't mess with them.
