I live in Pratumnak with my Thai Wife. If you plan on moving here any problems you have back home like alcohol or money will be made worse. However, if you hit the gym and have a healthy lifestyle it can be amazing as it has been for this Canadian.

The main problem with living in Pattaya is that the bars are always calling to you. It’s so difficult to not go, but you can’t start drinking at noon and go all the way until 4 AM every single night. I had a good friend who retired to Angeles City and drank himself to death in a decade. I moved to Pattaya recently, but I have strict rules. Gym everyday, absolutely no day drinking. I also eat very healthy, and no, cheap street food is not good for you. I’m talking about tracking your macros with super healthy western food from grocery stores. This will cost you, but it must be done. Lastly, you must sprinkle in health nights throughout the week to avoid drinking 7 days a week. Massage is a good way to have fun without drinking. Lastly, don’t be afraid to get a soda water in a bar to limit the amount of alcohol you consume. Good luck to everyone, but you must have a plan to stay healthy or you will drink yourself to death.

i have been living in thailand and the number one problem that is never talked about is the amount of things that will get you so sick you will end up in the hospital of which they will charge you some serious money. Stay away from street food and bar ice, it is riddled with giardiasis. During the rainy season stay indoors because that is when dengue is at it’s worse and if you get dengue YOU WILL end up in the hospital. I have never got sick so much in such frequent amounts of time in my life in one place.

Nailed it on every point! Pattaya is great, as is all of Thailand. It is what you make of it.

Thanks for your videos, it's a very valuable source of information. I am from Russia and I want to say that Thailand is not cheap comparing to my country. Price are about the same or even higher on most goods and services. So maybe Thailand is cheap for americans, but it is definetely not cheap for citizens of most other countries.

Pattaya is a paradise for us the people who can work remotely/freelance, not even in South America which I'm from I can get a LUXURY APARTMENT for $400 per month in a building full of amenities with your only worries being the food and which gorgeous women are you gonna hang out with.

I am planning on going to Thailand in August , can’t wait ! The plane ticket pricing is much more than the hotel stay 😂 where u able to get to Thailand on a direct flight ? Atleast from where I’m at (Philadelphia) and the surrounding airports like in New Jersey and New York City , there are no direct flights . 23 hour flight minimum with 1-2 stops
