Matt Uelmen is a genius.
Diablo 2 themes are the best ones ever made in games. It's so unique. It's a real masterpiece.
This theme was the most complicated and biggest challenge so far. I used more then 80 tracks.
Keep in mind that it's not a real 12 strings guitar. It's digital. That why you don't hear the finger slides and finger movements. But i did include one finger slide. - Hudba
Holy shit this is straight hellfire. I really hope this blows up with D4 being out because its criminal how little its been viewed.

He's a great genius. As i remember, he only had a 8 track software. Making this remix revealed to me, how complex hi's music is to make. And why It's so beautiful & timeless !

very clever.
the hiphop beat transmogrification works and the general feel of tristram's composition is there but the note content isn't all the same, and in some instances very creatively so. it shows you put a lot of good work into it. this stuff is tough to tame and remix.
also, big fan of the gold sound sampled and included in the introing beat as chime. it's a pretty rich little metaphor, fitting the hiphop theme as in bling/gangsta, but just generally, money obviously plays such a big part in the devil's/diablo's scheme in this world. the whole hunter/gatherer/wealth accumulation primal instinct thing, which is the core mechanic in Diablo, is such a huge devil in itself. it's just nifty in this context, man.
i believe it could be made into a more cohesive tune overall, to me it feels more like a proof-of-concept, "i can do it", a very nice work in progress. but i'm secretly obsessed with making a really good diablo/tristram remix because damn, it's like mythology by now and could be so great. i like where this went/is going.

Wow ! This is the longest comment ever :) Thanks a lot for the props bro ! It literally took 83 tracks to make it. Had to use Reason 6. which is light on the CPU. I had a listen to your remix. I like it. It had some jazzy elements to it. The intro reminded me a little of Bloodsport. The pitch bend guitar was i nice touch. The only thing missing was an ending.

Hey this is pretty damn good. I've been bouncing around D2 remixes and this one seems to be the most thought-out and isn't just a frigging beat over the exact same first strummed set of guitar notes.
It's super minimalist, well mixed and it's fantastic.

I also wanted to incorporate some of the sound effects from the game. This track was literally the most challenging so far. Of course the visual also had to be nice.
@@GalacticBeatz By far the most impressive part for me was the use of all the original sound effects without killing the tone. The filtering is just right, like garnish on an already great dish. You used 'em in a way that also seems to compliment them as rhythmic tones, like the gold as a hat/cymbal or the "item throwing" noise having four little "whooshes" in there.
And of course the rhythm you worked out with said effects overtop of sections from the track is just wonderful. Did you re-make the guitar and orchestral melodies with other plugins/recordings or is it a filtered version of the original track?
@@Burn7 It's really awesome when someone really notice all the details. It makes me happy. The video haven't gotten much attention. The algorithm didn't favor it. Very disappointing i might say. I really put much passion energy and time into making it.
I spent 2-3 days just researching about Matt Uelmen, who produced the soundtracks. Interviews and such. To find out what synthesizers and instruments he used. He actually only had a 8 track software. He would record the 8 tracks. Then export it in wave. Then import it and add 8 more tracks on top of that. I was so impressed by only 8 tracks. I'm not exaggerating when i say, that i used 82 tracks in reason 5. To make the remix. Which is very light on the CPU. Any other music program wouldn't pull it of. Everything in this remix is from scratch. No sample, except from Deckard Cain voice and the game sound effects. I've come to appreciate it even more. Knowing the background story of how he made the soundtracks. And by making a remix myself. Matt Uelmen is a genius.

Thanks man. I appreciate that. I don't use Reason 5 anymore. Moved on to Studio Pro One. Could bounce the induvidual tracks, But i simply don't have the time to focus on it. I used litterally 82 tracks to make it. Also i wan to make the other Diable 2 themes. I haven't had time for that either. If i have time to spare in the fufuture. I'll do a new version of it.
