  • Hunza valley is one of the fascinating northern areas of Pakistan that is covered with snow-capped mountains and greenery. This beautiful valley is well-known for its attractiveness. The people who live in this valley are extremely friendly and hospitable. The languages that they frequently speak are Burushaski, Wakhi, and Shina, but they also have an understanding of the national language as well.
    Hunza has many varieties of traditional dishes on different occasions. The food in this region is full of delicious taste. You will feel the real flavour of nature and purity in these foods. If you ever tasted the food of Hunza then only you can realise the feel of these mouthwatering dishes.
    Wheat chapatis are pan-fried, cut into triangles, and then stuffed with a yogurt-cheese mixture straight from cows. Coriander, mint and onions are mixed in, and sometimes apricot oil can make an appearance too.
    It’s also common for people to put nuts or shavings of nuts both inside and on top, all making for a very unique taste that you won’t readily find served by restaurants in Lahore, Islamabad or Karachi.
    Then after we carried on our journey towards Attabad lake.
    Attabad Lake is located in the Gojal Valley, Hunza, Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan. The lake is 14 Km long, it was born after a natural disaster in Attabad village. This Lake is full of chilly blue water, which slit into the lake from nearby glaciers and from the Hunza river. Moreover, there are many hotels and resorts built around the Lake as tourism in Attabad Lake is booming.
    The depth of Attabad lake is 109 meters (357.6 feet). It is one of the deepest lakes in Pakistan with an altitude of 2,559 meters (8,396 ft). During winter, it gets frozen. As the majestic Attabad lake did not even exist before 2010, here is how it got into the formation we see today.
    There are various activities that take place on and around the lake, including boating, jet skiing, and fishing. Ice skating is also possible as it gets completely frozen during winters. As tourism is rising, an increasing number of hotels and guesthouses have been built around the lake, as well as campsites.

    Hussaini Bridge
    Kilometer-long Hussaini bridge in Hunza is considered the most dangerous bridge in the world of tourism. It has 100 ft height from the Hunza river that flows underneath, connecting Shishkat village to other side villages of Hunza River. Hussaini Suspension Bridge is Pakistan’s most dangerous rope bridge, but it is only one of many hazardous rope bridges in the north, Gulmit Hunza valley. Karakoram Range, which is home to the world’s most dangerous bridges.
    In Pakistan, the Hussaini Suspension Bridge, which spans the Hunza River and is one of the world’s longest bridges, is a must-see. It was built to cross the Hunza River. The current bridge was constructed in 1994 after a previous suspension bridge washed away during floods. The fact is that this region is known for its winds, which explains why the first bridge built of thin ropes and planks was almost entirely destroyed. However, next to the current bridge, some remaining components may be seen, which only adds to the thrill for tourists.
    Passu Cones or Golden peaks are cone-shaped pointy mountains located in Gojal Valley, Hunza. Passu cones are 23 KM away from Attabad Lake, it takes around 30 minutes with a normal car drive.
    The Yak Grill Passu is nestled in the majestic cones, located on the roadside. The cafe offers Yak meat which you can't find anywhere in the whole of Pakistan. Here you will find a variety of Yak meats, which are Yak Steaks, Yak Burger, Yak Karahi, with fresh juice, cold drink, or tea.
    It has a peaceful outdoor setting with a perfect view. Tourists love to visit this place whenever they are around.
    Gulmit Old Town -
    A well-known feature of the old house that leads to the polo field is its ornately carved doors and windows. Additionally, swords, guns and cooking utensils are housed in the 700-year-old house. A woman manages the house with the help of her daughter. Many domestic and foreign tourists visit this site to see its prominence. Gulmit, the main town and capital of the Gojal Tehsil, has two buildings that are filled with wood carvings. Ornately carved doors and windows characterize the old house near the polo field.
    In the old house women weave carpets from goats, sheep, cows and yak wools. A double-story building once stood here. The upper floor is used as a storage house the lower floor is used for carpet weaving center. There are four pillars supporting the ceiling of the lower story, each with a decorated capital. Many Wakhi houses exhibit similarly ornamented capitals which indicate their aesthetic taste. With four pillars supporting the main chamber of the house, the old house is a true prototype of traditional Wakhi houses.
