I am a born again Christian minister, I think you two are great, it is understandable why you reject religion as a whole.
Believe it or not, most Christians have great issue with organized religion also.
The bible doesn't point to religion, but to relationship with God through Christ.
I came to know the reality of the existence of God at 19, I wasn't raised in any kind of religion, nor do I promote religion, but rather relationship with Gd through the Christ of the bible.
I want you to know that I respect your views and it is wonderful and refreshing to see you two think for yourselves, weigh the evidence, and come to well thought out conclusions of what Mormonism claims.

There are museums with stuff from Jerusalem and surrounds, but none of the content proves the gospel of Christ existed. It can't be proven in broken pottery, or crumbled remains of buildings, nor even from fragments of letters, because they are contained in the bible and so are not required in museums to be true. Museums turn it into flesh.
The BoM promises personal revelation will assure its truth. That's trust in God, and is the reason why LDS are so committed and dedicated to the gospel, which can't be matched by any religion. BTW, Christians have hidden the evidences of Hebrew existence in the Americas. The book "View of the Hebrews" by a Christian minister (Ethan Smith) has quite a few, which was hailed by Christians for 7 years until the BoM was published. Then it was refuted as nonsense and the evidence was hidden. It doesn't matter, however, they can't hide two massive pyramids not associated with Aztec, Inca or any local tribe. God plants just enough evidence to ensure evil people deserve their curses, and makes sure Satan's churches can't remove it all.

But people like you who've bought into a false version of Him, are responsible big time for a loss of belief in Him... Some examples: JS's "Jesus," according to D&C132:24, COMMANDED polygamy of Abraham (D&C132:34, 35 &65), contradicting Gen15&16, where we learn in Gen16:2 that Sarai was responsible for the decision, NOT God... D&C132:54&64 has Jesus (again D&C132:24) threatening to DESTROY those who won't submit to polygamy... The BIBLE assures us that Jesus didn't come to destroy people's lives, but to SAVE them (Luke9:56)... He certainly wouldn't threaten destruction of those just trying their best to live by the guidance He gave in Matthew19:4-6 and Mark10:6-9!!!...

People like me who have bought into a false version of Him. Get a reality check. My version is of three distinct beings composing of one God, or Godhood, as is more aptly named. Nothing false about that, as the bible and direct revelation confirms it. Now, your version is not only false, but impossible. Who can be everywhere and nowhere at the same time? Who can be nothing, yet three, yet one at the same time? Nobody - not even a deity. You cling onto this "mystery" as if it is possible to God, but it's a lie, and is impossible to anything and everything. You have to be a clown to buy into this nonsense. It isn't even in the bible, but got its beginnings in doctrine 326 years AD, long after anyone wrote in the bible. No living prophet has proclaimed it. The dopey believers are scattered across 50,000 plus sects, something Jesus said was not of Him, but of the devil.
Believers are so dopey, they start by saying true believers don't know the nature of God, then say no more. Instead, they are off on tangents about polygamy and the meaning of salvation. Neither are about the nature of God. You speak of versions of doctrines, but you are so silly, you don't see the difference.
If people hadn't sinned for millennia, God's handiwork would be something to behold, but people have turned it into inferior conditions. While Tanner is somewhat of a fairy, he has come out blessed, he could have been a deformed mutant. In any case, humour is often laughing at other people for all sorts of reasons, and what's good for the goose is good for the gander. They make fun of the LDS, and even try to make fun of me, so they are a valid target. Did I mention I'm here to match wits with people? No church representation at all.
I have no care for what they might do in the future. They are big enough to forge their own paths, and the choice is all theirs. What I care about is exposing their current nonsense, nothing more. My mantra is even simpler than theirs.

If you can't accept that God can be everywhere present, you don't accept what the Bible tells us... Jeremiah23:23&24 says, "Am I a God near at hand," says the Lord, "And not a God afar off? Can anyone hide himself in secret places so I shall not see him?" says the Lord; "Do I not fill heaven and earth?" says the Lord... That impossible-for-us-to-fathom (essence) is the Soul of God... He is all-loving, all-knowing, and everywhere present... In time, that all-knowing, everywhere presence of God took on our human heredity thru' the agency of Mary, so that He could confront the forces of evil on their own terms w/o annihilating them in the process...
The Bible tells us many times that there is only ONE God (Deut6:4, Isa44:6&8&24, Isa45:5&6&21&22, Isa46:9&10, Isa48:12&13, Mark12:29, Rev1:8&17&18, Rev21:6 etc, etc)... Are you really ready to deny that testimony in favor of your "prophet's" first vision, a vision that took him over a decade to settle on and was not the way he recorded things in a handwritten account, that first account having only Jesus in it?
It amazes me that Mormons can think that God would pass up so many opportunities in biblical history to show the Father/Son relationship (as two separate and distinct Gods), if that were really the way things are... He could've shown Adam and Eve, Abraham (the biblical one), Moses, as well as all the other OT prophets... Jesus could've shown His own disciples, close companions for YEARS when they pointedly asked to be shown this Father that Jesus was always giving credit to (John14:6-10)...
Do you anticipate a future time when you'll reach a state of exaltation, and be rewarded with godhood yourself (D&C132:19&20&37 etc)? Do you envision that the same Father will fill the role for YOU as filled the role for your elder brother, Jesus? Will the same HG (Holy Ghost) be part of your three-part team, or will a new person fill that role?
In Jesus' case (as I've come to understand things), He successfully discarded the last vestiges of the natural heredity that came thru' Mary when He conquered the final and most severe trial, the crucifixion. Thereafter He was completely one w/His spiritual Soul (aka Father)...Matthew28:18 marks that moment in time, "All authority is given Me in heaven and on earth." The invisible God has become visible...
BTW, the God (Jesus) I believe in is a God of love... He did NOT COMMAND Abraham to participate in polygamy, like D&C132:34,35&65 would have us believe... I didn't go off on a tangent by talking about polygamy... The Bible and BoM+ tell us different things... The former tells us that it was SARAI'S decision (Gen16:2), the latter says it was COMMANDED (again D&C132:34, 35&65) by "Jesus" (D&C132:24)... If we can be deceived by one thing, we can be deceived by many things...
It's important to be able to trust the God we've put our hope in... JS's "Jesus" evidently demanded that he marry other women, underage females, sisters, mother and daughters, even already married women... The Jesus I worship NEVER demanded such things of Abram... I'm confident that He means it when He encourages us to treat others as we would have them treat us... I'm sure the guy that returned home from an overseas mission to find his wife had also married JS, felt betrayed and mistreated to say the very least...
We don't have three parts, but two - body and spirit. The combination is the soul. Now, this is not comparable to the concept of the trinity, where Elohim Fathers Himself as Jesus, and the Holy Ghost is both Elohim and Jesus. The biblical interactions between them make this impossible. You may as well say your kitchen sink, the garage door and the lawn mower are all one. Just picking three things and saying they can be one is insane. If you came across an embodied person with three personalities you would treat them, not worship, yet you worship a nothingness that is MPD. What is worse, is your belief that Christ was resurrected but must have discarded that perfect body to be nothing with the other two.
The stupid analogy of water being also steam and ice (liquid, gas and solid) is as bad as sink, door and mower. While H20 can be all three, it can never be all three at the same time, unless it is more of the stuff - individual quantities. A single quantity is either one, depending on temperature, but can't be all three. Neither does water speak to ice and vapour like Jesus speaks to God. Such analogies only highlights the stupidity of Christians.
The bible indeed tells us there is one God, but never tells us the three individuals are a single entity. You get that from the Nicene Creed and later creeds. The bible has Jesus praying to God (itself a big hint as to 2 beings) that 11 apostles could be one, just like they are one. Then Jesus extends this 11 to all the disciples for the rest of time. Since we are to be resurrected, then we must experience a discarding of our perfect bodies and becoming the most immense and insane MPD ever. This is utter nonsense, which also shows how stupid this Christian fallacy is. Stephen seeing both cements it. You have to bend over backwards to explain that away with lies. And I haven't even mentioned the many questions Christ asks God in prayer. Why would He need a question if He is the person He's asking? What's the point in saying "My God, why hast thou forsaken me?"? Wouldn't He already know why? How does Jesus not know the moment of His second coming, but the Father does? Impossible, if it's a schizo MPD.
The guy that returned to find his wife was sealed to Smith found his wife untouched by Smith, and you can't prove otherwise. This man was married to her, and Smith wasn't. The sealing was not regarded as a marriage at all, at the time. B Young altered that status much later. While you comment on it without understanding it, tell me how many returning husbands have you found publicly denouncing this situation? You are to little, too late, because you are too stupid.
+Eric Lawton... Stephen didn't see two separate and distinct individual beings... It says he saw the "GLORY of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God." (Acts7:55)... Angels are always aware of being under God's protection and care b/c He appears in heaven as the spiritual sun (that's the GLORY part, the SOUL part)... The verse says Stephen was full of of the Holy Spirit, so he saw things like the angels see them, but he also got to see a personal manifestation of the God that he was giving his life for, Jesus Christ...
1Tim6:16 says of the Soul of God... "who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power..." Yet you believe an adolescent Joseph Smith DID get to see what no one else in biblical history had seen?!? ...What a special, special boy, that Joseph Smith!!! Doesn't bother you at all that it took him over a decade to settle on that version, huh?

Loyal LDS member, Todd Compton, author of In Sacred Loneliness, studied the matter b/c he wanted to be able to speak truth to the issue... B/c the Reorganized Church, headed by JS's son, was having the same doubts as you are, and also placing the blame on BY, that son took a trip to Utah to resolve the question once and for all... Thirteen wives (pretty good turn-out for those Victorian times) who were formerly married to JS before his death (some now married to BY), vouched in court affidavits that they HAD had sexual relations w/JS... Following are a couple of examples:
Faithful Mormon Melissa Lott (Smith, Willes) testified that she had been Joseph's wife "in very deed."
Emily D. Partridge (Smith, Young) said she had "roomed" with Joseph the night following her marriage to him and said that she had "carnal intercourse" with him.
You call it "sealing." Does that somehow make it more righteous to you? Doesn't it still connote the breaking of the bond she had w/her husband?... Isn't the initial trust they had for each other, destroyed?...Most likely she was married to her first husband for time and ETERNITY, wouldn't you think?... Empty words, meaningless promises...

We used to be Mormon, and it is perfectly reasonable for us to criticize or joke about a church that we were a part of. Our act is doing pretty well right now. ;)
Guys please just watch yourself in this video, then ask yourself if you are really happy. It is just so sad to see your angry negative attitudes that are hurting you happiness and joy. I'm not saying go back to mormonism. I'm just saying ask yourselves if this is giving you any true happiness or satisfaction.
Well, if these two are not happy, at least they made me smile and laugh. Thanks guys, for sacrificing your happiness on my behalf. We need more of this type of thing and less from the haters that claim to be Christian (or LDS). Live and let live, man. The weakest argument I've seen to date from Mormons about apostates leaving the church (and there are a lot) is the blanket statement that those who leave the church are unhappy. To this day, I still love the church and my Mormon friends, but leaving it 22 years ago was the BEST thing that ever happened to me. And my relationship with God is stronger than ever. Don't knock it until you've tried it. Typical Mormon arrogance, Mark Brand, to claim to know whether someone else is happy. If you're interested in the level of happiness of people in the church, check out the Mormon suicide rate. After 39 years of active devotion in the church and then 22 years away from it, I can tell you that Mormons are NOT the most happy people I've encountered. Far from it.
Born LDS, that can be adjusted. Born gay, well what can I say Tanner. What's up with the angry blonde? Never seen that kind of sad pain in someone's eyes before. Lord have mercy on you. Happiness is out there, but probably won't come from hating on the church that you couldn't live up to.
We left for theological reasons due to the fact the BOM is embarrassingly fabricated. Nothing to do with morals or lack of "living up" to anything. Cannot imagine having my name tied to such a horrid organization . Glad I resigned.

I'm betting that what did you in is the number of dishonest videos you have posted which all make fun of the church. Personally, that kind of stuff doesn't bother me, as I've been seeing it for over 25 years now, almost on a daily basis.
That's it! CZcams actually made us call our bishop to apologize for it.
Oh and it has absolutely nothing to do with CZcams giving channels no real means to dispute copyright strikes because the jury, judge, and executioner is the entity that filed the claim. The church was wrong to try to censor this channel via CZcams's broken copyright system.

I am not sure what, possibly they are gay, they both have that same odd look in their eyes, notice how they make very short eye contact and their facial mannerisms are exaggerated showing signs of uncomfortability, it is so obvious they are living with guilt or shame and cover it with a dubiouse sence of confidence
