    What an excellent way to cook chicken! I believe if more people knew of this method, we'd all be buying more whole chickens instead of just pieces. I'll definitely be trying this soon.

    When I spatchcock a chicken I usually leave the backbone intact. We asians love every part of the chicken so there is no wasting here. Good and simple recipe btw. Keep 'em coming! ^^,

    This works.. Easy and Yummy.. Thanks for Recipe.. Keep uploading..
    Only one problem I faced while recreating this was that the residual water was making the baked potato a bit soggy.. Even though it was converted into something yummy and juicy.
    We also added honey glazed carrots along side :)

    Love the recipe and the video. Big Fan of all his recipes, they are easy to make and yummy! One small thing, I got a little bothered by the spatula with sauce just being smacked on the counter and not put away properly.

    My spatchcock chicken is in the oven as we speak... I went for a chilli & garlic dry rub. Never done this before, hacking up a while bird is a little out of my comfort zone, but it seemed to go alright! Thanks for the idea x

    I do chips much like this, but on a particularly decadent day melt some goose fat and use that instead of oil, with a bit of oregano too... Yum!

    Holy Hemiola! That was one heaping teaspoon of cayenne. I love things hot and spicy but that amount of cayenne would have been hospital worthy. Do you have a different definition of cayenne in Ireland?

    Nice recipe! I grew up in Worcestershire, it's "wuss-ter" or "wuss-ter-sheer" sauce.

    I just might have to give this a go! I pronounce it wuss-tuh-shuh - the best part about living in Worcestershire is watching other people confuse themselves when they try to say it.
    Fun little story; the first (and only) time I made Spatchcock Chicken, I forgot to check which way up my chicken was and cut right through the front of it. I was so traumatised, it took mum convincing me it was okay to stop me throwing in the towel right then and there, I almost had myself a Great British Bake Off moment, lol. But the family liked it, so I suppose it wasn't all bad :P

    I marinade my chicken overnight first in ,lemon juice, olive oil,crushed garlic and seasoning. your chicken will be more flavourful.
