Thank you for an honest review. Your insight will definitely help me decide on my next tundra.

The inability to drive with a door open is a real problem up north. When we drive on a frozen lake we always keep the doors unlatched in case we break through the ice and have to bail. May have to find a fix disabling the door sensor.

I’m keeping my 2019 Tundra 1794 till the wheels fall off!. I have none of those issues 😢 runs and drives perfectly.

Speaking of first world problems, as much as I love the audio controls all being on one side on the 2nd gen, I still think they got the skip track and volume buttons backwards. Up/Down should be volume and left right should be next/previous track.

  • @chrisrea8267

For the turbo lag on startup, there is a service bulletin on that. You have to ask them to look it up.

  • @charlieingrasci8353

YOU NEED TO GO BUY YOURSELF A FORD AND SEE SOME REAL ISSUES , YOUR NOT A TOYOTA GUY

  • @agarciagarcia7815

I have 2022, 1794 hybrid for almost one year and 8 months they had 13,000 miles so far no problems remember you have

  • @user-ks6eb6wn3t

    Love my tundra!❤

  • @cdstoudemire

use the CARISTA OBD Scan Tool to turn off the seat belt chime.

  • @proto7688

I have a 2023 with 9,000miles and crank bearing failure ... A piece of trim would have been a better deal lol but I think I'll be going back to my 2018 after Toyota buys the 23 back. Also if anyone else is wondering the 23 is less roomy than the 2018 I had and it's really bothering me when I need to stretch out legs and knees but have this huge center console taking up place with rattling plastic. Oh well live n learn ... Was nice to drive before engine failed. I did not get any transmission issues but the throttle hesitation def bad.

  • @Jhihmoac

The cost for these and all new pickups is astronomical!

  • @davidglover3380

My #1 hate is the app or key start up and when you open the door the freaking engine turns off how stupid!!!

  • @genejustpicksomething

I have had my 2024 limited for about 2000 miles and love it. Everything is better, accept it’s hard for me to read the ac controls buttons to because I have bad eyes. Haha.. I have owned three tundras of the two older generations (2005, 2006, and 2018). I was surprised that I actually enjoy driving this more. None of the issues that various videos discuss. Actually, there is one thing. No tow points. Then I thought about it. I’ve had three Jeeps and never used my front tow hooks so hopefully it won’t be an issue.

  • @loudandclearmedia

The not moving with the door open thing would be a deal breaker for me, for the reasons you describe. I mean, I understand the design decision and where Toyota is coming from on it, but from my perspective as someone who has been in that situation before and solved it by pinning the throttle...yikes.

  • @marcusrudd6790

I’m sure you have checked this but on my 2023 the lane centering gets turned off somehow every time the dealership does service I have to manually turn it back on

  • @ronsteitz4535

I can’t name how many times, Why I hate the New Tundra😬 It will never be the Quality of the Gen 2🤨 Take a test drive is all that I needed to decide. Too many buyers are telling themselves 🤔It’s growing on me. Wrong Attitude and Reason for spending 65-85 thousand for a truck. Wait about 5 yrs after owning this truck and see the Cons and Pros. So far everyone is trading off the Gen 3 Tundra before Warranty period has ran out.🤔

  • @davidglover3380

    #9 is your truck.

  • @tlast52

    I just got 2024 Tundra

  • @davidglover3380

I bad the seat belt alarm turned off

  • @tylerbaker555

Did your ever talk to the dealer about the harsh highway downshift? I think it’s normal but haven’t been in for 10k service yet
