I've been telling people since the Xbox One launch that the controller wasn't right and the lack of stick tension was a major issue. I was floored when I saw your video because your the first person that I've come across that really gets it. I play Battlefield 4 and couldn't imagine dealing with the stock Xbox One controller. When I get a One it will be the Elite bundle. If the stick tension isn't increased in the Elite controller it will be coming to you for a fix.
+Vance G its actually the regular xbox one tension on the elite. But you can customize the stick sensitivity and make the stick tension on that tighter.

Tried fitting these myself last night. Broke my elite pad. Itz not easy at all. I’d advise against doing it. Now selling my elite pad for spares and repairs

yo yo yo Whats up Battle Beaver Fam gonna join the crew with a high tension right stick and smart triggers black and orange accents (face buttons ect.) been using the high tension in my astro c40 cause the stock suck 6 months heavy use still going strong but the astro thumbstick seats are goin bacd so im upgrading to a full custom build from battle beaver ...... patiently waiting for the best controller ever !! thank you battle beaver for saving my astro c40 and thank you for building MOD free custom controllers ready for tournament play , almost all your competitor offer cheater mods so glad you guys stand out from the pack

Evil controller stick tension
I'm getting an increased stick tension even though I use kontrol freeks because I want that in between tension that's similar to a default next gen while still getting the height of a kontrol freek.

How do these controllers play with 0 deadzone? Cause that what I play on and I am looking for an alternative controller many many controllers can't handle low deadzone because they start drifting my current fusion pro wired has very slight drift at a 0 deadzone which allows me to be precise. To put simple do they drift on a very low deadzone? If not do you have a rough estimate on the cycles lifespan of the sticks?
does the tension loosen back up over time? I got a controller with 165g of tension a year ago and when i measured the tension yesterday i was only reading ~105

Probably as the spring wears out/ fatigues over time
But how long does the joystick (DualShock4) last before it starts getting odd sensitivity and deadzone issues when comparing Extreme tension to stock tension?
My fear with swapping out the spring in my analog for more tension is the callibration. Forcing open the potentiometre and wipers seems like it could easily offset the voltages which could cause calibration issues. Suck its this guys business model so he wont be forthcoming with the information.
Or just buy Xbox 360 ALPS and solder them on your Xbox One controller, they all fit. Also only costs a few bucks.

I will change the modular of my 5 controller to 110°. If a change the modular will that make theme a little more taller or are they the same hight as a stock one?

Battle Beaver Customs i have a question about the tension for analog thumbstick axis that are soldered onto the circuit board first i have this ps3 @ play wired usb controller and i think i may have unevenly distributed tension because i keep experiencing friction like effects when moving my controller usually horizontally and also because of my materials presumably i experience slippage effects and it's ruining my gaming experience and i just need this problem to be resolved i have some idea's like replacing the shell of the ps3 controller with material that is water resistant and has grip and then i need to take the xbox one's analog thumbstick axis to be replaced for the ps3 controller then i need custom thumbsticks and if i can then have my controller modded to have installed a macro button and cardinal directional d pad for FF7 Testing Hypothesis i was wondering if you could help me by finding low cost supplyers i am on a budget of $40 for this modded controller

forgive me are you saying kontrol freeks make it unplayable?. I am getting increased tension but I do use kontrol freek on my right thumbstick. Pondering whether to get interchangeable thumbsticks so I don't need my kontrol freeks what would you suggest Chris? what sort of tension would be best if I weren't using a kontrol freek? It's just for the right thumbstick for me. I was told your pro sticks don't fit kontrol freeks is that true?.

Battle Beaver, I have two questions.
1. I would really love to get the 160 tension, to help my aim in Fortnite. Will this mess up my building capabilities? Or could I get used to it and still build like pro?
2. If I would opt for such a high tension, should I just get the 160 tension analog modular on the right side and get the 110 on the other?
Cody Lafflin 1. Of course your building would be a little off as it will feel slower that usual.
2. I feel there is no need for analog tension on the left side. Also when increasing tension you will find it harder to press down the actual analog stick. So if you edit with left stick DO NOT get left analog tension.
You don't by any chance have lower-tension sticks, do you? I prefer looser sticks (which is the main reason I use FPS Freeks). Easier to make fine aiming adjustments with a looser stick.

Hey battle beaver I’m getting a controller and I’m getting increased tension on my right stick, if I put a control freak on it would it defeat the whole purpose of the tension, or will it make me better?
The tension itself inside the stick is not effected. It is the amount of force required to engage the stick that decreases when using a control freak. I dont know why he suggested that return to centre would slow down because it doesnt.
on your site for the stick tension it says 110g for the 360 but this video and every other thing i have seen and read says 100 and the xbox one is 60g, now i personally think 60g is way to low and 100g is a little to high is it possible to have the tension set to say 80g?

Yes we can also do this on ps4. Typically I don't hear of issues, but they use the same internal parts
+Battle Beaver Customs PS4 thumbsticks are shorter, which is why they have more tension than the Xbone sticks (despite internal module being same).

@@elliottc2036 You can increase the tension on any controller by opening the module and installing a heavier spring. That's what increases or decreases the tension a single spring inside the thumbstick module.
