I’m kind of shocked about the racism of the animators who did the cannibal scene in the jungle. A lot of the fans seem to be ignoring it to coo at Qingxuan instead. I’m not sure if we can contact the animation studio to let them know that this is wrong, but I don’t feel comfortable ignoring it.

Yeah, I was hoping that scene would not be included (or at least done in a non racist way?? If that's even possible tbh). Even when I read the book I found the scene bad but seeing it animated is so much worse, god. I was out here being so happy that the donghua was so similar to the book but that was the one part I wished they'd changed 🥲
