I saw the full film. She was just. Phenomenal. Perfect. I saw the film and I couldn’t imagine a more brilliant, emotionally-damaged (from her parents and school), wonderful Matilda. Every scene was phenomenal. I’m so happy and proud of her 😊
The way her eyes just went so wide and everyone started screaming was so heartwarming! She did awesome as Matilda, and really captured her sense of mischevious innocence.

But I saw this adaption a few weeks ago. And I absolutely loved it. I wasn't sure what to expect when I considered that it had 'Musical' in the title. Makes it sound like it puts too much emphasize on the music and not enough on the other things. But I'm glad I didn't hold that against this adaption! 😀
Absolutely fantastic casting and the producers made the right decision- in fact the whole film was excellently cast. But this little girl MADE this film. Not musical fans but our kids cannot stop singing or dancing to the songs and have watched the film several times which is unheard of!!
I just watched it today? She did fantastic as Matilda. I hope they do another one with her as Matilda. Just a story about her and Miss Honey. that would be wonderful. But I would watch her as Matilda even if they did another one similar to this one. She’s a great actress. I think it would be cool if they did that and everybody did fantastic as their characters. All the actors and actresses did.
