This song was played at my husband's funeral. He passed unexpectedly on April 12, 2019. We were married 20 years, and anytime this song would come on if he was at work, he would call me and let it play on my voicemail, or if we were home and I was in another room, he would turn the volume up loud so I knew it was playing. 💔/💗 Excellent reaction. And perfect timing for me.

The core of this group was the Finn brothers (Neil and Tim), and they were in a band before that was a pretty popular new wave band (Split Enz). I remember how refreshing their sound was when this came out, as it was one of the earlier 80s pop songs that was more folk-influenced and got back to using real drums and guitars. They had two more albums that came out after this one that were quite successful. Great songs of theirs are : "Something So Strong", "Better Be Home Soon", "Chocolate Cake", and "Weather With You". Great song. This song reminds me of Wellington, New Zealand (Mid 80's), because I was living there when it came out. I was dating my wife back then. Anyway, the lyrics say "In the paper today, tales of war and waste, but you turn right over to the TV page". New Zealand is far away from the rest of the world, so they didn't bother back then to even keep up with all the negative B.S. going on around the world, just what's on the tele tonight. This band is from Australia, so they were very popular in New Zealand. Reminds me of sweet fresh air, living on an island in the middle of nowhere. Loved the review guys. Thanks.😊

Spaghetti wood, laugh. Perfect. This song was so popular in the 80s, it was on the radio all the time and MTV and played in the clubs and House Parties. Surely it's been in TV shows and movies. It's that whole 80s pop thing and it reminds me of bands like Madness, soft so, the Eurythmics, Flock of Seagulls, Boy George, on and on. I didn't particularly like that genre at the time because I was into what I thought was more interesting stuff, but it was part of the fabric of my life because you heard it everywhere and many of my friends or into it. I'm listening to it now, it is definitely one of the better ones and of course it gives me a nostalgic feeling and it feels good.
