This is the best 'what to do' video I've seen on Amsterdam yet. Its zo verfrissend to not hear about weed or the red light. I lived there 4 years and love it so much. Thanks for showing people there's so much more to my city than drug use and human trafficking, that's not the heart of Amsterdam. Goed zo!

I recently returned home from a trip to the NL & Belgium, primarily Amsterdam. For 5 nights I stayed at the Amsterdam Hilton, where John Lennon & Yoko Ono had honeymooned 50 years before. I saw paintings galore by the NL's big 2 artists, Rembrandt & Van Gogh. Also, actress Famke Janssen was born & raised in a town a short distance south of Amsterdam; she was the inspiration for planning my trip.
This is a great video; I was just in Amsterdam last year, totally missed a lot of this stuff; I like that this video lets you hear the local language.

It's a truly special place if you know where to go and what to do. The architecture, the parks, canals, and culture are really nice. I loved the local sweets they make. Hits the spot when you got the munchies. 😉😉

wow you have shown up places i never heard of before even when i was visit this town that often i call it my second home. proably the most complete (beside the well known attractions of course) source of infomation about that incredible nice and unique town thats always worth a visit.

food was much better than i expected and never seen so many beautiful women - makes paris look like piker in this regard
billy jack(one of my all time favorite films) im going to Amsterdam next year. I would like to stay near the coffee houses(first time ill try weed) and hip areas. What areas would you recommend? I believe there is a center Amsterdam and im just learning about that today. Your help would be greatly appreciated, Thank Cory
Cory - i stayed by Centraal Station and the two coffee houses i hit early and often were Central and Voyagers - both are small, but have great products
also, start with a half tobacco/half weed spliff for your first try - probably safest
and if you don't like to smoke, get some space cakes - central had some freaking AWESOME brownies

Thank you Billy Jack, Funny thing a few weeks ago i posted a pic of the central Coffee House on my Facebook. Why I chose that one well It just looked cool and cozy. Thank for the advice. I was in Amsterdam when I was 10 but its all different now. So Central station was in Central Amsterdam? Do you remember the name of your hotel? Would you recommend it? It would just be nice to be at a hotel where im within walking distance from everything. Glad I saw your post. Oh one last question how much do you think i will spend in hash if im there for 6 days? The host is funny and definitely has savoir faire. I'd hang out with him ANYTIME.

It's distracting to have the voiceover done by someone with a well-coached accent but who is not a native speaker. She makes occasional errors that clash with her accent. I think it would have worked better to have someone with a normal Dutch English accent; it makes any errors seem much less odd.
