Thanks for this review, I am a DSLR lover and was confused between Realme8 and 8 pro. I would rather go for a cheaper phone and stick to DSLR 😁

The realme has still a native 12MP resolution at 3Times zoom since it just switches to 108MP when zooming, the Redmi always crops from an 12MP picture and ends up at Native 1,3MP at 3 Times zoom. Gcam would make Realme lose this advantage since it won't be able to crop from an 108MP Sensor here, but 12MP as well. At this 3times sensor crop the sensor has still a since of an actual Telephoto lens. Meaning the realme has 3 Times Optical zoom. Sadly the Redmi doesn't use this sensor advantage and besides realme only Nokia did so. With Gcam the Realme would just lose it's Optical zoom.

My honest opinion on this is, that Xiaomi has been releasing phones with a consistent processing of photos, spitting flat, natural images, and I like it. Even at dark, when my Redmi 8A Dual has a tonne of grain, and no sharpness at all, it still puts my mom's Realme 7, a phone that costs twice as much, to shame when it comes to colours. I like Realme phones, but I have gotten the opportunity to try three of those phones and they all had something or the other wrong with the camera. One had horrible overshapening issue, to the point that silver looked dirty black because of thick oversharpened borders. One had focus issues. Both of those had non-ideal colours too. And the Realme 7 has just abysmal colours. Reds always look like oranges, yellows look like greens it's awful. Edit: and also, even if a Xiaomi phone by chance has a sub par camera, they get support for great GCam mods like phones of no other brand.

I am 1000% agrees with your statement at 6:30. All companies should follow apple in this department. I think only a series of 1 brand with 3 to 4 phones is the best option for them to focus on their devices.

I bought note 10 for my sister. Did whatsapp video call .. i have redmi note 7 pro. But in video call the face was grainy and looked very average as compared to note 7 pro. Kindly let me know if there is any manufacturing defect in our device or video is like that in redmi note 10 during whatsapp /fb video calls. Fyi : there was no issues with the Internet . I tried again keeping both mobiles side by side . Note 7 pro video quality was 1000% bettter than note 10 during video call. Please help what should we do.

It's a little hard to pick the winner. Can there be a better one that both of this two? When there's picture taken I don't like any blur or with it being grainy at all, and to add that if there's less things being shown in the picture or other other stuffs being cut out or not showing everything I won't go for it either.

Please include 1080p 60 video samples in upcoming camera comparisons. Some manufacturers skip EIS in 1080p 60. Adding the samples will be helpful to buyers.
Note10pro front cam video is stabilized and 8pro has no stabilization, that is one major difference than any note series before this. Which is why it's cropped.

Gcam's performance depends majorly on camera sensor, so willl give almost equivalent results on both since similar sensors. Also their professors isp is same.
Redmi always gets better support
Gcam would be worse on realme than with stock since it loses it's lossless zoom feature. (Actually not shown here)

When taking selfie videos go to settings and disable the image stabilization toggle then the field of view will be wide. It's done for stabilization.
