- SUMMER Monteys-Fullam has admitted she was “besotted” with lover Paul Hollywood.
In her first newspaper interview, the 24-year-old former barmaid said she was not fazed by the age gap with the Bake Off judge, 53. Summer said: “If you love someone, then age is nothing but a number.”
But her mother Sabina had fears for the relationship from the start.
Sabina Monteys-Fullam said: “You’ve got a beautiful young redhead with an older man . . . the age gap. It was all there. I always knew it would explode.”

I was with this guy a while back who when talking about the huge age gap between him and his ex wife he said “ She was way younger so you know what that was really about. “
I should have listened really carefully to him telling me what we women were really about to him.
I didn’t and got beyond hurt, beyond cheated on. Pay attention to someone when they’re talking. They will drop little hints of who they are in the beginning. The problem usually lies with us just not wanting to pay attention to the red flags.
So true and so well said. Women romanticise and don't see the red flags staring them in the face - they don't ask the questions. The beginning part of a relationship tells you where it could potentially end, and we miss that information.
