- Sam and Jess and I drove to Portsmouth and had a great day out and met some of our best friends the police and then went to their offices and had a dance and a whale of a time... lol.

Have you heard / know of anything ie fuel tanks or army or mod things at swanage? We were that way a few years ago and turned down a road that the street lamps looked different to the standard council ones, the fences of the fields and the fields were immaculate as were the road signs all clean as a whistle. Then out of no where they turn to high fences with a round about with army looking tanks all around you and a huge gated security office all looking a bit RAFey or army like? There are no sogns anywhere to mention anything of such sort.

The WW2 ARP bunker is owned by The Historical Diving Society, using it as a store and reference library.

The training & culture of police in the United States would have caused officers here in the USA to handdle that situation so much differently! They would have had firearms out, surrounded the building, and had one or two K-9 units there. They're taught to 'control the scene' by yelling-out orders and interrogating suspects, not having calm, polite conversations. Even if you voluntarily came out they would have instructed you to have your hands-up, searched you all, and made you sit on the ground, probably with handcuffs on. They would not simply ask for your names and information, they would have asked to see ID. It's doubtful they would have just released you without at least a citation for trespassing. But on the other hand, many people in the USA are armed with guns and would go into a place like that with the intention to vandalize, steal things,or do drugs.
i hope we never get like the USA.

Re The Magistrates Court. The PA system you were looking for a microphone. I think you will find in this instance PA refers to Personal Attack. with buttons in rooms throughout.
