This might be my new favorite remix...this song is, quite literally, one of the most beautiful Mario Kart soundtracks of all time. I also love how there's a Rainbow Road "hook" melody that's brought back in most Rainbow Road courses throughout the Mario Kart series. ✨
It truly is an honor to produce remixes to music that I've listened to for 10+ years - I'm freezing in my studio from the amount of chills I get listening to this! I hope everyone feels those same chills from what I cherish as the "good ol' days!" Enjoy!

What a beautiful and moving remix! Not gonna lie, this video and music got me teared up while listening at various points. I feel that this Rainbow Road theme is somehow the most poignant and emotionally impactful of them all, and you've done an excellent job of capturing that through the sounds and sights.
First, I have to comment on the arrangement. I feel that this is one your best yet, and that's saying a lot. It's crystal-clear that a whole lot of love and creative energy went into that aspect of this piece. From the alternate chord structures and melody variations, to the addition of improvised parts and references to the classic Rainbow Road motif, there is so much originality here. In particular, my favorite segment is the part at 1:56, where you had the N64 version playing as a countermelody to the MK7 version, in perfect synchronicity. And I'm 100% sure they don't just mesh perfectly out of the box, though the fact that you recognized their compatibility just shows what an ear you have for VGM! The way you adapted the chord structure and made tweaks to both melodies to make them synergize is just fantastic, truly. I love the instrument you used for the N64 theme, too - it has such a rich sound quality, like an instrument singing. And then, you madman, you went and added an upper harmony at 2:11 to further elevate the emotional aspect - it's honestly just too beautiful. 😭
In addition to that brass lead, the instrumentation across the board here is just stellar. You've got all kinds of sound styles, ranging from delicate, lullaby-like plucks, bright EDM leads, and these massive, shimmering spacey sounds. I absolutely love when those kinds of sounds are used in music (like at 1:52), and it creates a euphoric and joyous sensation. And man, the percussive sounds here are expertly chosen and integrated, as well. The layered claps and snares make for some very robust and satisfying sounds, and I like that the hi hats you used here have a more metallic, ringing texture, with a bit of a shaker feel - unless that shaker is added in separately... either way, it sounds really nice! Also, the sound effects are used to great effect, as usual, and I like how seamlessly they fit into the arrangement - like that sound at 1:28 ( the wi-fi sound, maybe) or the jingle at 3:10 (again, not sure, but I like it!)
And the way you coordinated these sound effects with shifts in the music is as seamless and precise as ever! As another commenter mentioned, coordinating that impact with your superb Blue Shell dodge at 2:56 was just straight-up genius, and a true display of skill in racing and video editing. The fact that there's a good deal of uncut race footage prior to that moment makes it feel that much more organic, too. And I love how you overlaid the N64 Rainbow Road gameplay over the MK8 [Deluxe] footage in the aforementioned section. Having a rainbow road on a rainbow road is just pure eye candy - a perfect supplement to the ear candy you've created through the gorgeous blending of the two iconic tunes. Seriously that part just hit home for me, and it made me feel just, well... incredibly happy! 😄

I was SO HECKING EXCITED when this track was announced for the Booster Course Pass, because this is my most nostalgic Rainbow Road, and it's just so darn GOOD and they made it even BETTER in MK8D, honestly one of the best tracks so far! I haven't listened to one of your remixes for a while so I was sorta confused for the first minute, as it didn't sound familiar, but when I got that 1:15 Player2 Beat Drop, that's when the song got REALLY good!! Great work as always!!

Still Peak Rainbow Road
I’m still shocked how lame MK8’s rainbow road is compared to MK7. Nintendo definitely put more effort into MK7. Very glad to see it return as DLC 🙌
This track is really fun, but one issue with it is that it’s too easy. Rainbow road should be a heart pounding track that makes you swear every time you fall off and I usually never fall off.
Hahaha i gotta admit MK7’s rainbow road definitely feels a lot easier than the others; but i do enjoy the variety of twists & turns on this one!

WOW, that n64 bit after the main melody completely took me by surprise.
Although, I will be honest, you kind of butchered the main chorus. Way too punchy and loud.
I figured it'd be fun to implement some of the original N64 melody since most of the rainbow road tracks are in the same key, haha!
