Photographing a Smokey Sunset from the Point Fire, California

California deals with its share of wildfires. The Point Fire was the first this season that was close to home for me, and I decided to take my camera to a nearby park to take some photos as the sun set. I'll also define a few photography terms along the way.

Thanks Maryanne! Thankfully, they got that fire under control within a couple of days, and I didn't end up having to evacuate (though I'd spent the prior day packing to do so!).

I loved this video. Not only because you got some really good shots. But because you explain the terminology. I feel like this is a great introduction to photography. I also commend you on being vulnerable and showing yourself using the walker. That is a cool walker BTW. Thank you, Kat! This journey is so up and down. I'm just trying to keep it one day at a time, as it truly varies so widely from day to day. I will say I love that walker that the VA gave me (I even added an aftermarket cup holder 😂).
I'm grateful this time has given me the change to dive deep into my photography. Even with the darkest challenges in life, there are blessings as well. Sometimes they just take awhile to reveal themselves. ❤❤ Thank you for all your support!
