Saw high speed trains of China in videos. From.a friend's vlog saw such trains in Jspan and Vietnam. Today saw and experienced high speed trains of Turkey from this vlog. Yes for long distance journey a bit of reclination is needed.
Just last Sunday came from Puri to Howrah via Vande Bharat and it was 1hr 45 mins late after reaching Karaghpur😅

India can run 300 kmph. Above 220 kmph the special tracks are need along with very expensive trains. It also depends on return on investment. Can people afford it? Are flights better alternative. China spent a lot on fast trains but still affordability is an issue there.

The most likely reason for the seats to be 'non reclining' seems to be - to maintain the centre of gravity of train during its highest speeds, however contradictory to this : the fastest running train so far (open to public), i.e Shanghai Maglev Airport (max speed 431 kms/hr), luckily got to travel, the seats are recliner, now 'Magnet train God' know the exact reason 😂

Bhai Train was looking exactly based on ICE trains in Germany and first you will feel it can not be reclined but with a button seating place move ahead..but back of the seat remains same position... may be Turkey have cheaper version ..
They are produced in Turkey but high speed train models are not design except some local modifications. But new slower trains are our design which are typical used in urban transportation or close distance journeys between crowded routes
