He's a genius and could sense this whole time that almost everyone would die immediately so he faked his death until they finished the mission days later so he could walk away without being blown up by the lady boss.

Well he's actually averagely intelligent, since he understands what people are saying and knows how to use a seatbelt, considering he'd already buckled himself in and was waiting calmly while Blackguard, even with help couldn't figure it out
The fact that Weasel is able to figure out his seatbelt makes me think him panicking as they were dropping was him saying how he can't swim. I hope he pops up in more things now that he's free

Impossible not to love the Weasel. The only scenario I can think of for it to be even remotly the cause of death of 27 children would be if it got out on a road and a schoolbus crashed trying not to run over it.
