Fruits Basket has ended and I cried very very quietly as my family was asleep. I loved this series and I really am going to miss this so much. Especially as I am also coming to the end of my school life, it really felt like me and the Fruits Basket gang ended school together. Feels like I'm parting with them if anything. Anyways, I know Kyo and Tohru are the main couple, but I love Yuki and Machi. This and a couple more videos will probably be my final videos ever. Thank you so much for tuning in.

you're telling me? i literally thought it would happen in the same episode and it doesn't show for the rest of the season
They also kind of changed the pacing of Machi's character development. At first she saw him as a threat, a person pretending to be all that while being so lonely and dense (how did he not know the fanclub president liked him?!), then she began to see him as a much better person who was able to change and make friends unlike her, who barely had an existence or any value, then after he found the good in her, she started walking all over school to acknowledge him, giving him presents (flower, fertilizer), trying to comfort (after he rejected fanclub leader) and understand more about him...
The anime nailed most of it, but her characterization is so subtle but sublime, so I'm salty they switched things around w/ Machi and her brother's family.
i love that machi is the first person he hugs after he is set free from his curse 😭😭

I love the house key joke cause it really shows how much Yuki adores Machi. Even with some of his closest friends he has a hard time letting loose and just having fun. But with her he enjoys her company and their mutual banter. It’s so cute 🥰

Season 3 was robbed of a lot of great scenes. The moment I realized that there wouldn't be an episode about Komaki or Kakeru's tie to Tohru because of Komaki, I was so mad. 😢

I love that they work so well together. Machi is able to see that silent voice of Yuki that he needs people to hear. The one that was screaming loneliness and no one else noticed except for her. Yuki knows how to talk to Machi in a way that helps her talk more while some would just take her short responses as a reason not to talk to her anymore. He understands what she struggles with and helps her without making it a big deal, just being there for her making imperfections when she needs it. ❤ it’s so beautiful
Caitlin Glass made an underrated performance as Machi. She deserves lot of praise delivering her character as good as how she did Haruhi.

At first before this remake came out I only took a peek at Machi in the manga and didn't care for her. Assuming she was just a rip off of Tohru which I hate when series do that. But her character is much different and they make a cute couple❤

Damn, this is by far one of my favorite ships of all time. I have to admit that in the beginning I thought they'd be a really boring couple. Instead we just got Sugar and Spice. Machi being the sugar of course and Yun- Yun is definitely the spice because he brings all the heat 😏

They get married, have a child, and every time it snows they go out as a family and make footprints in it 😭 And there’s a scene in the sequel manga where their son talks about how glad he is that his parents are who they are and that he got to be raised in such a warm and loving household and it makes Yuki cry (out of happiness)

seriously you don't ship them i mean they are perfect for each other
I'll break it down:
1. Yuki realizes he views Tohru more like a mother figure he wish he had as a child
2. Yuki also probably has white knight complex and wants to save the girl rather than be saved, as that would play into his insecurities over masculine gender roles
3. Machi can relate to the trauma Yuki has and thanks to Tohru, is finally getting past - that being feelings of being trapped, needing to be perfect, and hiding the real you behind a mask

When you think about the fact that everyone, even Tohru thinks Yuki is perfect; and Machi hates perfect things. It makes them all the more adorable. Even if Yuki and Tohru were sweet.

nah English dub noise doesn't suits them at all ! especially Yuki sounds nothing like teenage boy makes him more like a grown-ass adult 😠🤮😩 honestly Japanese original sounds much better and more youthful compare to this horrible dub.
