Hi Anton Retro, I'm the creator of this old RPG Maker XP project Super Smash Bros Conflict at 5:34, and I wasn't expected to see it on your video. I admit it has defaults, but I think it was a necessary step to become the game designer I'm today (and better than in 2009, I hope)!
You guys really put in the work to find some obscure Smash fan games. I gotta respect that! My only real critique is to show more relevant footage that matches the dialogue (for instance, when talking about how terrible recovering was in "Smash Bros. Kaboom," the footage was of a regular moment during a fight). When pointing something specific out, the footage should show what you're taking note of, otherwise there's a disconnect for the viewer. Good work on the video! And keep an eye out for updates to Supra Smash Bross :)
I’m glad you enjoyed it! I didn’t have a ton of footage to work with since Cheesy did send me some footage. Thanks for the feedback and I will definitely keep it in mind when making future videos. And great job with Supra Smash Bross!

Really Cool video! But I have a little Critique: You called the video "amazing smash fan games" but a lot of the games featured here were the opposite of awesome as you said. So.... Yeah.
Crusade plays very well with a controller, actually. It's poorly explained and tricky but here you are : First and foremost your controller needs to be plugged in (or turned on and synced) before launching the game. You launch the game, go to Settings, Controls, you click on the button Change with your mouse, and then press a button of your controller (!) twice (!!). At this point, the "name" of your controller will appear above, and you'll be able to map your keys. Good thing is, only step one is required everytime; the controller needs to be on before starting the game. Otherwise, settings are saved. Yeah I know it's a 3 years old video but someone still could discover the game like this.
And it works with any controller that works with a PC. I used to play with a SNES usb controller, then an official Xbox 360 wired controller, and nowadays I'm playing with a wireless bootleg controller based on the Switch Pro controller. They all work just fine (okay the wireless controller can desync if it turns off, but it doesn't happen when I'm playing, it turns off after ten minutes not playing at all and most of the time will sync back. If it doesn't I just gotta reboot the game, not the computer)
My favorites have got to be Super Smash Bros. Crusade and Super Smash Flash 2. They both are very well made and feel like Smash Bros games. I say I like Crusade a little more because I find it to be less laggy (at least on my computer) and also feels like it has a larger character roster.
Not that those fan games aren't great, but I can't remember the last time I dusted off my ds, wish you showed more fan games than rom hacks. I know I could just emulate them, it's just so cumbersome.
hey Anton Retro I think you did a mistake in terms of the release date of super smash flash 2 you see you said the game released “11 years after” super smash flash which means it released in 2017 which is wrong the game released 1 year after super smash flash and with the name super smash flash 2 1.0 which released in December of 2007 so yeah just to tell you what year the game actually released (tho the game technically released for 2017 but that’s for the beta build I was talking about the alpha build so yeah your sorta right but technically no)

i dont really like SSBC because some of the characters are just doesnt make sense or weird pixel art than others. SSF2 doesnt make characters that much but they have same pixel art, and characters make sense to be here
