I think each Gaither group is absolutely fantastic! We can't compare them. Each member is extremely talented and loves Jesus! ❤ We all have our favorites.
There are many, myself included, who think this is the best lineup. Mark's comedy bits took them to a whole new level.

I agree too! GVB has had a lot of talented members over the years, but I think this lineup was the best! I think Guy was definitely the best lead singer though the group has ever had, he puts so much energy into every song!

David Phelps, Candy Hemphill and I wrote He Came Down To My Level in December of 1987. The song was written in French when we were all going through DFW Airport.
Let me give more details on the board of He Came Down To My Level. The chorus is written in the Central Belgian Creole. It was written by Candy Hemphill and I. Candy started off the verse in Hempe. David wrote the next line in Germon and finished the thought in German. Then we translated the chorus into Wooloon. I started the next verse in Letzeberguesh and finished the thought in Wooloon. The next part is in Germon. Then we translated the chorus into Dutch. The chorus was translated into Flemange.The descant starts in Grimme. The next descant piece is in Ukrainian.
I am upset that someone badly wants to suppress this song. The three of us authors graduated from high school in the same year (1986) and we have been friends for years. I am upset that someone stole the copyright for He Came Down To My Level and doesn't like that it is written in the languages of Belgium. Candy's family and mine both have ties to Belgium. It is extremely upsetting to me that evil people were allowed to steal music copyrights and still want to keep this music suppressed!
