    I can't believe how many dishonest repair shops,including dealerships I've run into. With comments like "no one can fix this " to "it's $110.00 to diagnose and if we can fix it it'll be over $1000.00. An honest man is hard to find.

    My O2 Grand Marquis will blow cold air for about 20 minutes and then switch to the defrost and floor still blowing cold air. Would it be this right here or a blend door actuator?

    Hmmm i have the inverse problem, my 2011 Grand Marquis is stuck on the vent setting, it blows out the front vents no matter what setting you select, i though the systems were designed to default to the Def setting when they fail, im up in canada need the defrost to see out the front
    I dont think i suspect the Climate unit to be the issue, and parts are hard to find in canada not many of these around
    Is there a way to send power out on certain wires and see if the problem is before or after the controller

    • @AndrewBrowner

    I have a 2003 crown vic. Had the a/c on max and was working fine. Opened the glove box to get something out and heard a sound like a flap closing and the blower continued blowing the same but the air stoped coming out of the vent. Still works fine on norm but wont come out vents on max/air. Help me please I'm a poor old man that can't afford the pricey mech.

    • @GarageBoys
      @GarageBoys  Před 4 lety

      You most likely have to follow the video instructions and replace the part, with time they get a air leak and that stops them from controlling the vents properly. Either that or you have to check out your vent but that’s unlikely

    Is your unit considered an automatic climate control? Mine is the regular one with jus 3 knobs. It's currently in a shop because the air barely comes out vents and when I I called the mechanic to give him rundown he said he doesn't know if he can do anything with it because it's an automatic climate control type but idk what that means

    • @fastpctv2012
      @fastpctv2012 Před 4 lety +1

      Yes, you can fix it with a spray bottle with undiluted white vinegar. Its caused from condensation (stagnant water) left on the evaporator many many times; makes stinky, mildew. open windows, turn AC on full blast and spray 4-6 oz, slowly over 10 minutes into the return air intake under the dash. Open hood, also spray mist into air intake above the blower motor, be careful, vinegar can damage paint. Works on all cars. The acid in the vinegar will kill the mildew. Smell will go away. Repeat if necessary. If it's really bad, buy a new evaporator and replace. You can also use vapor steam to clean, but you would also need to remove it and have the system rebuilt/ recharged. Car will smell like vinegar for a day or so, but that fades away.use food-grade vinegar, not cleaning-vinegar, its safer

      @@davidpgh1501 pfffh. My Pittsburgh brother? 8 months later I still got no AC or fan. My next try was the Blower Motor Control Resistor Module. Now I see my Ac accumulator has a small leak on the top. Nothing in my AC system is engaging. So it has to be one of those two..
