    Todd, heard about your site from my friend Richard this AM.
    This is fascinating to the see the hoops and tech required to navigate something that the novice as myself does not have an clue about the frustration in the trucking business . Great video.

      Glad you liked it. This was a “bad night” however they’re not all like this (otherwise I wouldn’t do it). There are more good nights to be had but things like this are what make people quit Amazon because they are inevitable.
      I believe in showing both sides so people have a firm grasp on what they’re getting into should they choose to work with Amazon.
      It always makes me happy when I find out my dad is “pimping” my channel😁

    I think I need to stop watching your videos, I'm developing PTSD 🤨 seeing what you're dealing with, you have so much more patience than the rest of us, I've weaned myself off of relay and it's like a huge weight has been lifted😎

    • @STATTrucking
      @STATTrucking Před 4 měsíci +1

      I definitely don’t want to contribute to any PTSD. I get it totally, if there were a pharmacist YT channel out there were they recorded themselves talking on the phone trying to get prior authorizations covered for patients, I would absolutely not waste a single minute watching it 🤣
      I honestly think that is where a great source of my patience comes from, not being able to reach through the phone and choke a motherf*$^er. Amazon is F’ed up at times, but it beats dealing with peoples insurance in a pharmacy setting. I’ve been dealing with “Amazon” for 20 years, it’s just been called Blue Cross, HealthNet, Caremark, etc.
      I am happy to hear you’re happier off of Amazon, I’ve been branching out more and I like what I’m seeing. What has me coming back are the “big nights”. I’ve found I can do one great load with another broker, but then I’m limited to that one load for the day. I still enjoy squeezing together 3-5 last minute loads (if the money is right) and making a day out of that. There is no denying their grading system is broken, when I come across people who hate them, I totally get it.

    In nj its insane how many loads they have start at delivery stations and every time it is a bobtail to the next stop. Must be because its off season. They must have made the AI that books the loads make all of the 1 pick 1 drop loads into 4 stops because they get us to move multiple trailers for the same price. Also when your screen was stuck you could have done a manual trailer over ride even though it said no trailer available. When it says no trailer available it still can be over ridden and it will unlock your app. Its happened to me a ton of times because this one delivery station i go to all the time, the clerk doesn’t know how to properly use the system so i have to manually do it.

    • @STATTrucking
      @STATTrucking Před 4 měsíci +1

      You are right, this is exactly why I (usually) avoid loads that have more than three stops. I’ve gotten burned before on these multi-stop trips where a leg (or two) was cancelled and suddenly I’m watching my payout dwindle. It figures, the one time I break my own rule and book a load with more than 3 stops, this happens🤦🏻‍♂️
      With all the screen recordings/grabs I took, the one I’m now regretting not having is what came up when I clicked on the blue question mark. I use the manual override/visit ship clerk all the time. At the time, it was not available. When I clicked on it (didn’t record this part), the manual override was not an option. Since the trailer had been added to the trip, either from facility or ROC and not by me through the app, I can’t remember what it said (now) when I clicked the blue question mark, but I’m positive the manual override was not an option.
      The rest of the trip was actually cancelled at 3:46 (I have a screenshot of this) via Relay Notification, but the load remained active in my queue until almost noon.🤷🏻‍♂️
      Fortunately, Lu has a calming effect on me and since I’ve been here before, I didn’t really care. Grade is back to 💯 and the very next night was great. Amazon is definitely a love/hate relationship for me.

    I think rates went up simply bc of Easter. A lot of drivers may have taken Sunday off causing a dearth of available drivers.

      I’m curious to see what happens between now and the next 2-3 weeks because we will be well out of the Spring Sale numbers and well before Prime Day. I want to find out if it is still possible to make money with Amazon during “normal” times.

    Why didnt you press the Question mark on the bottom right. You can manually put the trailer in & then drive to SAN3/SAN5

      @@STATTruckingyou can but its buried in the question mark button. Normally its under the “visit ship clerk” button but when the no trailer available screen is on its under the question mark.

    Great vida as always bro. I have another question for you:
    Ive been running amazon relay going on my 3rd week and have a 100% percent performance rating so far 🤞🏼. However all of my loads thus far have been empty trailers/containers or those yellow carts they use to move stuff around the warehouses lol will eventually haul their packages after a while and when i do will it pay more? Cheers brother your dog is awesome lol might have to bring my rot or Frenchie to keep me company

    • @STATTrucking

      Dogs are the best, I never thought I’d be able to “take my dog to work with me”, it was never an option in any job I had leading up to this.
      The trailer contents does not really affect the payout in fact, some of my best paying loads over the last two years have been moving empties. When smaller facilities with limited dock doors become gridlocked and can’t accept new deliveries, Amazon has historically paid well to remedy that situation.
      The other situation that has paid well are trailer recoveries:
      czcams.com/video/MmzHkP_-BhE/video.htmlsi=oKSksYFVqTF5o37N
      These usually show up on the load board with the acronym “ITR”, not sure what the “I” stands for but I believe the “TR” is Trailer Recovery. I will typically look for one of these that stays on for a while and then wait for it to show up in spot capacity:
      czcams.com/video/LEavVqKmg3Y/video.htmlsi=OYz00VQhW9NbBxhh
      Once, there, these typically go for $8-$12/mile
      Recently, I’ve done:
      Oceanside➡️ Oxnard $1000
      Campo ➡️ Otay $800
      Using this exact method.
      Long story short, just because a trailer is loaded with merchandise does not mean it pays more. I believe a more valuable piece of info would be which facilities in your area have limited dock doors and how often do they become gridlocked? Does this happen often and if so, can you position yourself to be at the right place at the right time?
      Congrats on the 100%, Amazon is never going to tell you you’re doing a good job but I will, great job on obtaining that grade, it’s not easy.

    Why would you work for a company that is constantly trying to cut your throat. Your video shows me why Amazon trucks are flying around driving like maniacs.

    • @STATTrucking
      @STATTrucking Před 3 měsíci

      Great question!
      My goal with this channel is to show the full story so others have an idea what to expect, clearly, the sentiment with this one is negative.
      While I don’t claim to be an expert, I fully understand all their (current) policies on how to get decisions such as the ones presented here reversed. My grade was returned back to 100% within 12 hours.
      Do I think it’s exceptionally shady they make it this difficult? YES!
      Do their processes make a lot of good people quit? YES!
      But to answer your question of why I still work with them, I still feel the good outweighs the bad. Should that balance ever shift, I’ll be out too.
