Honestly I wouldn't limit myself to just the guitars we use, I bought my guitar by simply going to a store and trying anything that caught my eye and the feeling just clicked. When it comes to instruments I don't really look at reviews, just try one out yourself and if it's easy to play, sounds good to you and does what you need it to do and you can afford it. That's the one :) - Simon

I was wondering if you guys would be able to unlock the tablature for viewing access as it’s currently restricted and needs permission to view. I'm not the best with theory, so I thought I'd ask you guys how you personally approach this. When you guys are sitting down to arrange a piece, how do you determine what tuning it will be in?
For this piece, I used DADGAD, which is one of my favourite tunings to play in anyway, lots of opportunities to play close arpeggios. In general, when it comes to choosing tunings for arrangements, its just a matter of necessity/convenience for me. Usually I'll have thought about what tuning to use while learning the piece. Some melodies/arpeggios/chords might be difficult to play, since the original pieces aren't always written for the guitar, so I just tune the guitar differently to make it work. I reckon it's a good idea to get familiar with altered tunings (like DADGAD for example). When you have a feel for the tuning, you'll start to have an ear for how the tuning will affect the sound of your arrangement. Hope you find this useful. Thanks for the support! - Al
