It's really sad that people keep yearning for a return to their Hybrid Theory days. Their new music is so much more complex and interesting to listen to - it's technically better overall, owing to Mike in a lot of respects. Hybrid Theory is such a simplistic album. Of course, it's a great album, but if they released it today it would drop like a stone. It survives on nostalgia - it's sad that a minority of people can't open their minds to Linkin Park in their current, matured form.
Couldn't agree more. As much as I loved HT and Meteora, and would love to hear them make a current attempt at that style again, their new stuff is musically brilliant. They're pretty much just a different band nowadays, still just as good musically (if not better), but just very different.
Complexity doesn't mean shit if people don't like the sound of it. You can't dictate what people like, they enjoyed the HT/Meteora style and that's their taste. Just like the new stuff is to your taste. Maybe they've tried to open their mind and just don't like it.
This is a pretty awesome beat though!
After all, the entire "hybrid theory" is that new ideas mix with what exists and evolves something new. Every time I see a fan say they want the next thing to be just like the first I point out that they never really got the point of it in the first place. Maybe minutes to midnight had a split personality, but besides that, the sound had just grown and adapted and is at least as well written as it was day one. Hell, thousand suns, one of their worst received albums still gives me goosebumps at the start of the second track. Powerful stuff.
People need to get a grip on Change. Technology has changed a lot in the last 10 years.

I went to the concert on Friday and my god it was absolutely amazing!!! Some people sound great in recordings but terrible in concert- definitely not these guys! I'm talking true talent. I loved every minute of it, especially the encore, and I'm so very glad my first concert was a Linkin Park one. Thank you so much for coming to Texas!

Sorry, extremely curious about music making but got literally no means to making it/learning it here in Pakistan as of yet.
It is called a Sampler. You load or record sounds into it and then it plays them back.

That particular one is called Maschine, and it'll load any sound you can imagine, as long as you have it on your computer.
The best one I would probably recommend is a Deep Tech Sampler
as someone who is trying to write music and struggle with both lyricism and making a beat, this is just awesome

This takes me back. Before you needed more than just a computer and a mic to make music. I used to make some sic ass beats on the ars-10 and TR-909 back in the mid-90s to 00's.
