RARE - EAS

Note: I counted this due to rarity as well as Cecil MD being within my NOAA Weather Radio area of reach! This is a RARE EAS Law Enforcement Warning for Cecil MD issued by the Cecil County Sheriff's Office and relayed by the NWS in Sterling VA. I caught the alert on WJON IP, but I assume the NOAA Weather Radio audio was relayed from KEC83 in Baltimore since the NWS in Mount Holly NJ did not send the message on KIH28. The text is below.

I’ve never seen NWS Sterling issue a Law Enforcement Warning before - it was the first time this office actually sent one out! This is incredibly rare!

KIH-28 hasn’t toned for Cecil County since they switched NWS offices.

For alerts for Cecil MD, even though they are not SAME toned, they are still toned with the 1050 HZ attention signal and included in the broadcast cycle for KIH28! However, I was listening on my radios and it wasn’t even in the broadcast cycle! I guess it could have also came from WXK97 but I’m not sure haha!
