Artillery - By Inheritance
Vložit
- čas přidán 27. 05. 2009
- It's something inside
It's hard to put your finger on
There's no reason to hide
So be proud you're in control
Not everyone can
You're one of a few
Neglected by man
No one really knew
The seekers of force, turned their heads away
Bid on the wrong horse, were only led astray
Mentally controlled, powers beyond reach
You keep it untold, all you do is tease
It's mine - by inheritance
Noone can take it away
Why play - why take the chance?
Why not just make them pay?
An invesible touch, developed in time
And if things get too much
You change it with your mind
It's not to be seen
No one is to know
It starts like a dream, then you let it grow
It's like the rain
You can't prevent from falling down on your face
It's not like pain
You can't ignore it, still there is no trace it's capturing
Reaching for you
There's nothing that you can do
Terrifying
You can feel the ice from inside of you
You've got no remorse, once you've increased your prey
No sense of divorce
When you hear them pray
It's easy as hell
No need to try hard
So why won't you tell no
You always state
Absolute Masterpiece!
aguante dekapited
filled with great riffs to never dissapoint thrash
Abso-fuckin-lutely
agreed. \m/
Here in 2024 first I've ever heard of these guys. Yessssss 🙌🏻
Incredible underrated thrash
jérémie levasseur thrash* plis
jérémie levasseur fuckin right!
@@ovemrch341 Best tech thrash album from 1990 for my money, all those twisted into form retards can suck a choad
Based Anthrax PFP
@@WocklessGamingforAnimeMoms And based Winger for you
Anthrax and Winger are fire
Artillery is fucking crazy good, I don't understand why they don't get more praise. This album is one of my all-time favorites.
no hype, no praise . all hype, all praise = CRAP record usually.
@@snakepitguy Incredible album but from this year Rust in peace is pretty much the winner for the best thrash and metal album in general, this is easily the best tech thrash release from 1990 though
@@derekobs9688 Oh man... please. Listen to ARTILLERY first and after to MEGADETH and see if there's something in common. NOTHING. One is THRASH and the other is just Heavy metal.
derekobs popularity i guess
@@ImaHeatseekr Nope, not popularity, everything receives its praise and popularity based on its merits and demerits, this album is considered a thrash classic as well, but its not on RIP's level based on the criteria's I mentioned before, but definitely a top notch tech thrash release for sure and way better than something like Twisted into form(an album which is overpraised by thrash kiddies while that album is hardly as consistent and focussed as this one or even their previous effort)
this album is the best thing to happen to me since internet pornography.
Lol
Lol
Lol
Nice
LMFAOOOO
I just discovered it... Holy shit, I'm amazed! Insanely sick riffs!
Every song off this album is pure GOLD!

T-H-R-A-S-H !!!!!
I've been listening this album for the past 8 months and seriously it changed my life, it sounds dramatic I guess but wow! Everything is perfect, music, voice, lyrics. Artillery has become my favorite band without a doubt!
That riff is like a fucking machine gun..Made to blow out your eardrums
The most underrated band/album in history. These guys kill it!
One of the greatest European thrash record ever... along with "terror squad"
*THIS IS FUCKING THRASH* The riffs on this are perfect and the composition is so well done, they knew exactly what they were doing when they created this.
this song is really hard to play on guitar.
It actually is not that hard, just takes time to actually get down, but man this whole album is sick!!
Edgar Sanchez ha a year later ! nice man . I'm about to give it a shot now. wish me luck . CA
FrolicTV Did you learn it by ear?
FrolicTV Actually it's pretty hard. Some of the best catchy thrash rhythm guitar work ever laid on tape.
Not a single weak moment on this album! A masterpiece in all of Metal history!

I can't praise these guys enough.
Album cover is so badass and deep,i love it!
this entire album is a huge eargasm. try listening to it. its amazing
What a riffs, what a voice! Technical Thrash Metal at his best!
I love how the vocalist sounds a bit like Ronnie James Dio. A heavy version ofcourse! \m/
AQ40V Dio on crack!
I think out of all the vocalist I prefer his more. He provides more grittiness.
def a thrashing tinge of DIO .
I dig it
@@codydriver8244 James dio IS ( rip) peace bro
Dio is already heavy.
Exactly! Some of the riffs remind me of Wake up Dead, and the voice and the rest of the riffs remind me of Annihilator.
Thrashers all amongst us! Also, 45 “meh” sayers didn’t have enough to contribute by their own inheritance! 🤘
Puro force...excelente
The guitar is insane!!!
great band, great sound
This is some premium top shelf thrash. Borders on tech thrash at times.
Hell, they wrote the fucking book on it.
Metal de qualidade 🤘🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥
awesome song i hear a lot of riffs, amazing riffs !!!
Loved the first album and always wanted to hear this. Sounds great.
God damn what an awesome riff!
If anybody is wondering, the guy who produced this album (in Denmark) is named Fleming Rasmussen. Artillery got a push because Metallica recorded Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets at his studio after they heard the Artillery sound and liked it.
I know the comment is seven months old, and it doesn't matter anyway, but I don't think the part about Metallica working with Rasmussen because they liked the Artillery sound is right.
Ride the Lightning was produced by Rasmussen and it came out in 1984, a year before Artillery's first LP (which was done by a different studio, anyway: Lars O Christensen and Nis Bogved are credited as producers).
To my knowledge, anyway.
Man, were you right. I don't know why I thought that, but apparently it was his work with Rainbow that attracted Metallica to him. What I'm more blown away by now is that he also recorded other metal albums too, among them my favorite Blind Guardian album, Nightfall in Middle-Earth!
Morbid Angel - Covenant too he done a fantastic job on
amazing band!!!

playing this from start to finish is a right arm workout it literally game my arm a pump

Artillery had a lot of Slayer influence on their first two records aswell 😜
Failhaid A LOT
Haha no, there’s absolutely zero Slayer influence on this record.
