- I'm glad the official Pillager origin isn't racism like all those very odd Minecraft sad origin story animations even if this is some alternate universe but it's more canon then anything else
Also I forgot one cutscene but honestly it’s not very important and this can still hold up by itself
I find it super ironic that Action is the one that says violence is bad
😂
A part of me was really hoping they would become the endgame raid/stronghold enemies after we defeated the piglins.
Night raids on settlements and destroying their bases would have fit PERFECT for the pillagers.
@normalcomic4768 that would have been rly cool. And it would have gone even more with real Minecraft
Probably the saddest thing about the illagers is that they used to be good. Pretty tragic how the illagers went from steadfast defenders to brutal warriors
What is illager and what is pillager I don't know the difference is the illager a small version of pillager or what?
@@Islavia001Illagers are the entire group of grey-skinned Villagers. Pillagers are the ones who stay at the outposts and Vindicators and Evokers stay at mansions. Pillagers have crossbows, Vindicators have axes, and Evokers use magic to attack. There are more than those three types in Minecraft Dungeons but in the base game, there are only those 3 (including the Ravager making it 4 in Minecraft Bedrock edition).
@@TheConfidentConnor Thank you very much great papyrus
Even if they try to be good, they seem to just get exiled. Same as witches and probably swamp-villagers or wtv they called
Knowledge + Action = Power
The Pillagers took this Power into their own hands which led them down a dark path.
No
Lmao, i love that theory from you. i watched the video
IM ONTO YOUUUUUUU
@@cactusman7661 what?
@@GorillaNugget flan pop
I love that you see you couple illagers before and after blending into the crowd but you can still see their gray skin jesting that this takes place even before all the gray skin villagers get exiled
Minecraft racism lore
I like the detail that in the end cutscene, you still see grey skinned villagers, and when the warrior walks by, the grey skinned ones actually admire him, even after he's rude to the regular villager and walks off.
That's not what it looks like to me. After he left, the grey villagers look actually kind of concerned.
@@evanhernandez2071 Yeah it looks like grey skinned villagers they're are concerned and gossiping a bit about him; they're clearly still in the peaceful villager mindset. I wonder if.. the other villagers started getting kinda.. racist or something because of the newfound illagers going down a dark path and exiled all the grey skin villagers because if it. That's kind of what I feel like is being implied here
@@orbic521 will if they did get a bit racist that means you know
@@orbic521 Thats literally what happens, in minecraft dungeons the arch illager is literally kicked out of every village only because he was a gray one and at that point the gray villagers had turned into warmongerers
@@BitrateBilly Dungeons took place during a time were the Illagers became known and feared
3:18 the pillagers liked so much the allays that they transformed it in little flying warriors(vex)
That’s are really good theory
The vindicators (I believe that’s what their called .. The ones that spawn vex’s .. most likely did experiments on the alley to curse them into vex )
Yeah but don’t they keep them captive
The fact that they added illager lore in this game showing where they came from was honestly sick
Why???
@@teatea2147 why not
@@teatea2147 because now we know more than before wdym why?
Its just a story, a villager story..
@@teatea2147 because Illagers are a underrated mob
Illarger are just villagers who couldn't adjust to civilian life after the war and were forever changed
Yes and no:
The warriors were sick of being so helpless staying in the village all the time, when they ventured out into the wilderness, and came across the remnants of a piglin outpost, it started off as sheer curiosity.
Then when that one villager picked up that mace they realised “they can fight to”. When they were converted into warriors, they were eager to follow the hero into battle and put the hurt on those who did so much harm to their people.
They wait for you at their villages, so theres a good chance that warriors tried to convince the other villagers to join them, but they preferred their way of aiding the player, which the warriors simply couldn’t understand, why wouldn’t you want to fight back?
At the end of the story, you can see some wearing villager clothing, and as you said try to re adjust to normal villager life, but it didn’t feel right:
After all we went through, are we just gonna go back to depending on others again?! We can fend for ourselves! We can build! We can fight! We can do so much more than just gather like scavengers!
The new “Illagers” see their villager counterpart as cowardly and soft, which is the real reason why that warrior stormed off
The birth of racism in the Minecraft world
I like how it takes a lot of work to make a axe
I think it was more him deciding what he should give them
perhaps it was the first axe ever crafted?
@@orbic521what did society use to obtain wood in the days of men and beast?
@@KyuuDesperation welp, the allay was the one both build and gather recourse
@@SadFrog_123 that got me thinking. In Legends we saw both blue and yellow Allays. Blue ones gathered, yellow ones built.
But in the base game we only see the blue ones. What happened to the yellow ones?
they don't know what to do with themselves now, the wars over and all's done, yet they still have a need for something and whatever that something is, living in a peaceful village isn't helping it
I assume in the DLC after the hero defeated the piglin witch, The illager will try to take the orb of dominance for themself resulting in them being permanently exiled from the villager society. We might even get the redstone golem as the new unit or enemy. that would explain where the redstone golems in the temple where archie found the orb of dominance came from.
Or maybe we'll see Archie the Illager or as he's better known as the Arch-Illager
I hope we get this
@Gato_Chisyoso we don’t know that???
You really just called him "Archie"💀
@@datironpanda2982 Minecraft Dungeons is after regular Minecraft, while Minecraft Legends is in the past of regular Minecraft, there's a lot of years of difference.
I like how they show where the illegers originated from and now we know more about them there basically war veterans
Actually, this isn't an alternative universe, a CZcamsr that talked with the devs of this game have confirmed that Minecraft Legends is the past of Vanilla Minecraft.
I also heard that the piglin aren’t smaller there the same size as vanilla
@@piglin469 Exactly, is just the chibi style, where characters look small, but aren't actually small.
@@jeanduresau Well considering the bossess are already huge in the chibi form they are currently in. Immagine them in vannila
@@piglin469 Definitely, considering that the Great Hog is huge in the game, towering over trees like nothing.
@@jeanduresau would our weapons even hurt the thing.
I though illagers were villagers who were tired of being villagers but it’s the curiosity that got to the villagers and wanting them help and defend their homes but idk why they kill villagers in regular Minecraft
Just like this
Illager: fine villagers I gave you peace but you give us nothing so we destroy your villages
@@Xilas840 lol thanks
@@Darkside-pc8qo they see that villages are weak and they want to kill the weak
@@adv3nturehq517 oh ok
I think it's because that the villagers did nothing but watch their world burn meanwhile the illagers did everything they can to help save the overworld and even sacrificed themselves meanwhile the villagers did nothing and didn't suffer any consequences
This is actual freaking amazing there origin STORY THAT IS ACTUALLY
One of the best origin story’s in my opinion 2:09
Bro this lore to the story was amazing but, I think the war between the nether and the up and coming illagers/pillagers was inevitable.
Hmm .. If we’re considering this game canon to actual Minecraft (might as well)
I think the order would go
Minecraft Legends
Minecraft Dungeons
Current Minecraft
Minecraft story mode: cries in the corner
Dungeons stated to take place after the main game. Since there is no Ender Dragon in Dungeons.
It's canon, also Dungeons is after Regular Minecraft
@@crusty5525Could be a AU from vanilla.
The very first Illagers from many years ago.
I really hope the next campaign is not going to be Us againts Illagers. One of the biggest hypes for about this game was working with Illagers so if we go againts them that would be really really lame af.
i hope there is dlc pillager have his revenge on minecraft legends
There is one, it’s called “Minecraft Dungeons”
@@Totally_trustworthy_person yep there is one maybe can be dlc was witch pigblin there is not boss on this game only dlc
The theory is Minecraft legends has preceded its story and its time for Minecraft dungeons
Btw if y’all were wondering what the cutscene he missed it was just foresight wondering what we’re they doing so far away from home (it’s the first one before the first one he showed
I'm starting to think the Illagers' grey skin isn't litereal, but rather a surface-level symbol of distinction between "humble villagers" and "ambitious villagers"
Warrior: Hey, I have a weapon! Let’s fight for our land!!
Other Warriors: YEAH
*After the War*
Warriors: This is insulting, without war we are nothing
I searched "racism lore minecraft" and found this 💀
This makes so much sense why pillager outposts trap allay
Read the description of this video. I agree.
Minecraft Legends is basically Minecraft's own version of 'Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword' in that it explains the world building and lore behind the origins of everything.
racism lore
No monkeys this time?
Remember this is told from a villiger perspective of events long long ago, it is likely heavily romanticized and cant be taken at face value.
This is a mini analysis if you will...
We see two "races" of villiger kind, fair & grey skinned villagers.
We also see two eye colors, GREEN & BLUE.
Lets break that down.
The depiction of different skin tones is indeed accurate but i think its more symbolic then literal.
Fair skinned villigers represent those with an immense pacifist nature. They are not willing to take up arms (defend themselfs) even if it means their entire society is destroyed.
The grey skinned villiger represent villigers that are considered "ill" by the rest of villiger kind, they are pacifist in nature but are not bound by it.
You could say they are "progressive" and are willing to change their ideals with changing times, while the fair skinned Villgers are conservative and view pacifism as paramount.
The blue eyes seem to more mystical in nature. In this legend the blue eyes are "gifted", along with their signature outfit to the first official "Illigers".
The blue eyes could be a literal change triggered by the god being, or it could be a visual representation of their culture.
Keep in mind that this transformation was not instant as it is shown, but a slow transition that the villigers romanticized. That moment marked the beginning of an entirely distinct culture, one that disregarded pacifism and the coupled hands.
The final cutscene shows fair & grey skinned villigers embracing the newfound peace, until a Vindicator mocks them for rejoicing, from the Illigers perspective, the villigers are weak and pathetic to not even attempt to defend themselfs, it was a victory the villigers had no part in winning. We also see grey skinned villigers admire the Vindicator as they walk past, show they they are still pacifist but leaning towards the Illiger ideals.
By the time of the base game the grey skinned villigers have pretty much ALL converted to Illiger cult members.
3:18 they are now more angry than the normal doing they agresive
A part of me was really hoping they would become the endgame raid/stronghold enemies after we defeated the piglins.
Night raids on settlements and destroying their bases would have fit PERFECT for them.
Its sick that there is illager lore now and now we now why they hate villagers so much
Ok so mc dungeons take place after this in the time line bc maces and illagers were already a thing, ok
And all of this happened just because they want to defend themselves, because war and revenge got to them.
A possible new idea for a DLC?
There already is one it's called "Minecraft dungeons"
illager takeover
or we go into the nether to fight the piglins
also the story of mcl seems to have some snk vibes btw
Wow so good.
Este es el inicio de una guerra rasismo xd
Yes kkkk
THE RACE WAR STARS NOOOOOOOOOOOOWW!!!!!!!
I understand why they hate villgwrs
bro thx for the video
It was'nt a pillager it was the villager
Illager* no are specifically a pillager
This is just about how they start pillaging
@@Totally_trustworthy_person but pillagers use only crossbows illagers use iron axes more specific the vindicators
Pillager is a variant. The name Illager refers to all mobs of the Illager family, which includes Pillagers
they sound like the vindicator and also they called warrior
Minecraft 2 villager vs pillager?
I wish illagers and villagers were diverse
Why they become evil in end
What pillager😂
The white illager use to be good
And the vindicator use to be fighter to defend the village and become more anger
Edit:first mabye there will be a dlc such as the horde of illager which there is no following your lead to you, then the illager will attack you instead
Second the horde of the end
There is a deadliest and harder then the last
3:17 the illager was like:Kawaii uwu!!
Also the clips from this video are very stolen btw
Illagers have stone axe's
Mojang were just like screw matpat let’s give them a different org Ian story that makes no scents yet is cool
How it makes no sense? Whatever Matpat was saying makes no sense.
