this is nostalgia to me as a Latino. My dad is Salvadoran, and wore this all the time when I was growing up. Later on is when I found out how popular this scent was in the Miami scene of the 80s. I married my Dominican wife, and heard "Los Diseñadores" and it referenced this cologne. I didn't know how popular it was amongst Latinos. It's so nostalgic to me, and I'll always have a bottle on deck because it's a compliment maker till this day.
My dad is Mexican. He always wore this and I grew to love it. I remember when I was little and he would cover me up with his coat when I fell asleep and I loved the lingering scent of Paco Rabanne Pour Homme. I have a bottle of my own for the exact same reason as you; Nostalgia.
@@conjured_up_skeletons6178colombiano here, my tíos and dad also wore this cologne, and still do till this day, gunna start wearing it myself soon once I’m old enough.

The vintage aftershave is a stunning fragrance. So damn smooth and not as "spikey" as the current stuff. But along with Azzaro Pour Homme and Polo, it's a staple golden oldie.
@@stephaniefeliciano2752 I actually traded several fragrances with a friend for it, but it's the same 125 mL that an ebay seller has for $44.90. My juice colour is a little lighter though. They only deal in authentic products, but FragX has catfished me before, displaying a picture of the vintage stuff and sending me the current formulation. I would say be cautious of their vintage pictures. Good Luck.
The opening is great, but the dry down is sublime. One of my favorites ❤. I never wore it in the eighties, but so glad I found it in my fifties. Green, oakmoss, musk and honey 🍯. Just magic.
@@investigatorreports4311 I love to layer frags. Here in Europe we have Sir Irische Moos, a wonderful green aftershave with a hint of cloves. Goes great with PRPH.
@@robertkerr9527 I saw that Irish Moos reviewed. I'll have to try that, been interested in that one for a while now. I'm a fan of green scents. Thanks for replying.👍
Love this review of a classic! Still smells damn good! I wish Paco Rabanne would get back into fougeres rather than sticking to their typical modern sweet fragrances nowadays.
Paco Rabanne PH was my only fragrance from the 80's up until the pandemic. Had never heard the term signature scent but it certainly was mine. It was the Swiss army knife of versatility for me. In 2020 I jumped down the rabbit hole of fragrances sitting at home during Covid. I should have just stuck with PRPH. I would have more money in the bank and more room on my dresser. Plus I think PRPH is about as discontinue-proof as it gets.
I've been keeping this around every since I decided to order a 3.4 back in 2018. It's green, fresh sharp, and crisp. Smells a lot like Irish Spring body wash, which is imo good to use before you put this on. A classic aromatic fougere masterpiece. Will ALWAYS reorder when running low.👍
Mu favourite scent of all time. Its just so old-fashioned and classic. Its a bit strong especially compared to the more subtle scents of today, but its so good.
In my younger days I wore Paco and Polo Green and the ladies loved it! I have many expensive designer scents in my collection now but I still keep a bottle of PR just for casual days.
Thank you very much for this uplifting review. I had the same feeling when I sprayed this masterpiece recently. All those memories came back. I purchased also the aftershave and that one is a tad fresher. Very nice in summer. With the edt I smell this wonderful freshness over 8 hours. Greetings from Holland!🌷
Your high-school scents are dope...I wore YSL L'homme and CK eternity. I just got a bottle of pr pour homme not a week ago, and I absolutely love it. PR pour homme is so fresh and green/soapy; I can't stop wearing it.
Paco Rabanne ...RIP, Thank you so much for sharing this review. This was a great review and I see in high school you had great taste then from the list of the fragrances that you wore😃
A different review I feel. I enjoyed it as much from an entertainment factor as I did find it to be the usual format of informative. I also felt it was presented with an extra bit of care and romanticism and I think respect. Top stuff, great content.
From all my Vintage Fragrances . Pacco Rabanne Pour Homme has aged the best! It is still wearable ! Compare This to Quorum from Puig ! Day and night ! Quorum smells soooooo Old Man like ... such a Grandpa scent ! But Pacco Rabanne is much more Timeless
IFRA restrictions on oakmoss really wiped out its once legendary performance, but the current formulation at least does smell quite like the scent I remember. It strikes me as soapier these days, but so does Drakkar Noir - and I think that's largely because they've been around so long that new and unique notes to my youthful nose aren't so new any more.
I love the soap and shaving creamy notes of Paco Rabanne Pour Homme and Drakkar Noir. Some of the main reasons I keep buying them. I like smelling like shaving cream and soap I'm easy to please.
I still use it, and the amount of compliments i gets is surreal, when i tell them it's Paco Rabanne pour homme the old one they look at me like "really"
Hello Steven, how are you? I'm digging the video and review. This brings back memories, that green powerhouse was one of my favorite. I started with Avon black Seude cologne, Lagerfeld, and Paco Rabane. Thank you for this video. Stay safe brother
One of my all time favorites and have been wearing it since the early 1980s. Could you explain about the new larger logo on the new bottles? Some places have the older smaller design and this that you have. Has there been a recent reformulation or just a restyled logo?
The Vintage bottles have the smaller letters PR.--Much smaller than the bigger PR on the bottle in this video. I took a chance just a few months ago, and bought a Vintage bottle that was still factory sealed. Unfortunately, I lost my "gamble" and it was spoiled and unwearable. I had a bottle in the 80s, but I didn't think the latest version would be near as good as my old version. Maybe I'll blind buy today's version someday. 😊
This is a green soapy masterpiece. Kind of reminds me of a zestier Irish Spring soap bar. Better, more wearable than the og Polo (green). Doesnt smell dated or 'old man' just smells soapy clean, woody green and masculine.
