Charice mesmerizes me with her voice. She brings you in. It's a combination of a powerful voice, controlled, emotional. My favorite is her performance on a Korean variety show Star King where she literally made her name. Her 'GrownUp Christmas List' on Times Square. And her duet with K Will 'Endless Love'.

If you know Davis Foster he was her musical director..many singers in the Philippines but they haven't experienced was Charice..she did most concert with the great singers in the USA

Charice was a powerhouse. She had a beautiful voice. Her low register was one of the best in the world. I missed her voice. We can only watch her previous performances because she transitioned to become a transman. She said she already did her part as charice and she wanna be herself now as Jake Zyrus. That almost perfect thing is really true. There's something in her voice. The magic thing just like whitney. For me after Whitney Houston, she's the only one who sings just like her. Whitney is the voice, and charice on the other hand is the voice in early generation. Imagine a once in a blue moon talent. Sadly, I haven't seen her performing live before her transition.

Hello my friend, thank you for bringing this to me, this was , as you said, majestic in its beauty, I have never heard of Charice before, what singer, what a (tiny) diva! I will definitely check more by her. Now, set aside the music, I found your thoughts on building (listening) habits and small pathways becoming main roads very interesting! I've told you about my current obsession with Isyana Sarasvati, and so I looked what your words may have to do with that... I don't know if it makes any sense, but this is how I feel about her music: When I first discovered her, it was as if a door opened, which led to an obscure path down into something unknown before, curiosity had me step on it and in the beginning I was struggling to get deeper into that haunted forest, there were so many obstacles, yet there were so many beautiful things along the way so I followed the path for quite a while, until I was getting a bit uncomfortable with all the strangeness around me, so I went back to the safe place where I came from, let's call it 'Angelina & Gigi Land' here for this purpose, but I might as well call it "Mori & Katrina Land", or "Diana & Mon Island", it doesn't matter, the names just stand for a place where I feel at home musically, I needed to reassure myself of the music I already love. But not after long I heard a luring voice from the direction I went when first discovering the door that had opened, and I went down that path again, and this time it was a bit easier, I could follow my own footsteps, I recognized and remembered some of the strange and beautiful things I had seen when I went along this way for the first time, and I was happy they were still there, and I was even happier to find out that continuing that path I encountered even more amazing and thrilling things, and also I could see more details of what had caught my attention the first time, so this time I went some way deeper and stayed a little longer, and I felt quite comfortable there, I this time I really enjoyed the walk, and when it was time to go back I told myself I'd come back soon, and so I did, and this time the door had changed as well, it was not a hidden tiny door into the unknown anymore, it had become a broad portal opening to an alley which led to a majestic castle, it's hard to explain, the details along the path had not changed, but the path itself had become a comfortable road to travel, and the destiny had become clearer, the fog covering the castle in the forest had lifted, and I realized this way led up to something incrediby beautiful and majestic in its musical perfection... For some weeks now I have been travelling down that path that is Isyana's music, I still not have discovered everything that is to discover there, but what started out as an obscure place in a strange and unfamiliar realm ended up being my cozy living room for hours of joy and excitement and beauty and artistry... - Well, I realize words will not really succeed to express and transmit my experience with Isyana, but anyway your video had me going and brought some interesting images and ideas to my mind, thanks for that! I really appreciate your reactions, your deep love for music that shines through every time, and you stream of consciousness like comments which are intricate to follow... I gave two options for entering into Isyana's world the last time, 'Lexicoustic ep.1' or 'ragu Semesta (MV)' - here's a third one, I call it the shock therapy and I don't know if you're ready for that... depends on whether you want to slowiy find a path and carefully broaden it, or if you want to immerse yourself head over heels into the adventure, if so, take this abbreviation:

Indeed, enjoy fully what is beautiful in the moment. The world has so much to offer and to get the opportunity to enjoy exquisite art creations from any point in time and from any culture in the world is often an opportunity missed for people who direct their free time and energies to parochial thinking, to the extent of hating others and acting on it. I discovered Charice in around 2007, via a YT'er called, FalseVoice....who, documented her life, abusive father that left mother and younger brother when she was 6 or 7.....Mom, discovered her voice singing Whitney and Celine songs, and entered her in singing comps , to put food on the table. Because of FalseVoice's videos, Ellen DeGeneres saw her, and invited her to USA at 15...then a year later Opra hosted her.....and introduced her to David Foster and Celine. Charice WAS a beautiful 4'9"" amazing vocalist that had that tone you couldn't stop listening to. Then the change.......and the decline in tone and range. I still watched some of Jake's videos but wasn't the same....till I discovered Morissette. This was a magical performance , I watched when it occurred, a Xmas special. The Canadian Tenors are (were) a crazy good quartet , and this arrangement by David Foster brought out the best in all vocalists.
