  • Brother Bear is a Disney animated film about a boy who turns into a bear. It's terrible, but people like it. Whatever, there's no shame in enjoying a terrible movie. But terrible movies have the most sins, FYI.
Next week: notorious animated sins and '90s comic book sins.
Remember, no movie is without sin. Which movie's sins should we count next?

Can we acknowledge the fact that this movie portrays Native American culture a thousand times better than Pocahontas did.

Idk how "better" job it actually does? There's this CZcamsr that made an interesting video about how Disney deal with the language, the culture and the music, and this movie was the "here they did it wrong" case. They use something like a chorus of Russian women to do the the music from the start. I can't recall the CZcamsr but was great video. Spoiler alert: the video claim that Disney finally did it well with Lilo and stitch, using language and actually music from Hawaiian culture.
