A wonderful movie. Blake Lively is so beautiful. The scene between Adaline and her daughter was so sad.
It unfortunate people always talk about how pretty she is vs her talents as an actress

Average people are far better than you and will not, in general, mistake 28-year-old woman for a 45-year-old. It's interesting how people who have major deficiencies, like in your case calculating age, are often oblivious to the fact that, in one particular area, they are far below average.

that is the biggest SF Chinatown apartment I've ever seen, she prob. owns the whole property long, long before it began as part of Chinatown neighborhood. Now she can assume to be the great granddaughter of herself.🤨
WTF SF Chinatown started in the mid 1800s. Adeline was born decades later in 1908. In the film she has keen eye on speculating future investment (Xerox), she probably realized the potential in that area at the end of WWII.
These is one of my favourite strange phenomena on a person story like Benjamin Button

Well why they claimed she looked too young for 45 years old even for that times with their cosmetic and technology a person can look like that at 45 years why not?
Not back then. Now with plastic surgery but back then it would have been obvious something was different/wrong.

@@user-ee1vm9qz4b You're making my own point for me... also, the shape of the face changes as we age. So it wouldn't just be youthful looking skin but how the fat distributes as well. Either way, it's just a movie but (IMO) a good one.
@user-ee1vm9qz4b nope. People never looked as good back then. The average 45 year old in 1953 would look 60+ today. Our access to cosmetics, skincare, better medicine, more health conscious mindset and a lifespan about 15 years longer has left us looking much better. Cosmetic surgery then on top is a bonus. No one looked that good at 45 back then. Today you'd go "she looks after herself well" and move on. My own mother is in her early 50s and looks 40
@nonyabidness5708 I don't think plastic surgery actually makes people look younger-usually they look their age or close to it, they just look like they have had surgery
