Kevin is a great guitar god as everyone knows but he is a very underrated singer. His voice is great
Still as impressive and relevant as when I heard it back in 1980. Together with Witchfynde, my favourite NWOBHM band!!!

I remember the very first time I heard 'Baphomet'. Even thought I was a big Sabbath fan, that track had such a different atmosphere and sound to anything else at the time. True innovators.

Don't know why this band is not more known ive been into them from the start and I liked them better than Iron Maiden when the 1st came out also liked witchfider general Hanz Krypt and Saint Vitus
To me, Maidens sound got lame once Bruce joined. Number Of The Beast is an okayyyy album, but nothing raw and brutal as Di'Anno' s vocals, even the band was more heavy! Angel Witch, Satan, Witchfinder G., Praying Mantis, etc... have always stayed semi-underground and original. Maiden now is like KISS. A commercial, overrated band.
Witchfinder are a joke compared to Maiden(Love em' though)And Mantis have always had a more poppy/commercial sound than Maiden the reason why Maiden are popular is because they are actually really fucking good.I guess something like Lovers to the Grave is a really heavy underground metal song for you.Maiden really weren't any less heavier than most nwobhm bands post Di'Anno. Angel Witch's Frontal Assault for example is probably less heavier than any Bruce era Maiden album out there.
